This.

That turnover changed the course of that season, which pretty much set the tone for the SEC in the BCS era.

If Stoerner doesn't fumble, we win the game, Tennessee doesn't win a BCS Title and Fulmer likely doesn't last as long as he does, which means he doesn't get involved in the Alabama stuff, which means they don't lose Fran, which means they might not get Saban, which changes everything.

Granted, that's a lot of extrapolation, but it's interesting to see how one play can change a lot about the course of a season and even an entire decade.

The hashtag was a nice touch.

I think we all know the worst play in SEC history was the missed tackles on that snake Billy Cannon SMH

I'd say worse than that was Ed Scissum's fumble.

Ahh so maybe it's a perspective/wording of the question thing.

It's not the worst drop for auburn, but it is the best drop for ole miss.

It was a catch and pitch, similar to the pitch and catch, just the opposite....

Xavier carter kneeling it on the 1 yard line is by far the worst play I've ever seen

It's my nominee not because of significance, but because of stupidity

Players lose games by screwing up all the time, happens every season. That game was of little consequence outside of Auburn/Ole Miss fans.

The Stoernover was special because it ended up gifting Tennessee a national championship and very likely cost Arkansas a shot at one.

That's a hell of a swing to go on top of the oddity of QB just randomly setting the ball on the ground for no reason at all when running out the clock to secure the win.

Maybe the third pick six in the fourth quarter by Jamie Howard against Auburn in 1994 to give them the lead after our defense had absolutely owned Auburn the entire game? Probably not the worst, but in context, very very bad.

That was bad, but a pure accident.

The worst play is Arkansas punt returner Reggie Fish muffing a punt in his own end zone and Florida recovered for a TD in the 2006 SECCG. Arkansas was poised to win that game before that.
