I like the deal with the ACC so school's aren't playing 5 sec road games with others playing 4. Keep the 4 rival games and rotate the others so the sec and acc each play 8 conference games and 1 cross over game.

I can think for myself. And yes, with 9 conference games, LSU may play a neutral site game and 2 other rent a wins. We won't play as much quality competition out of conference as we have in the past. Same can be said for the other SEC schools too I'm sure.

I don't. I like having the freedom to play ASU, UCLA, Oregon, etc. And there is no problem with some teams playing 5 home games and some playing 4. Everyone in the SEC West will play the same number each season. There is no advantage or disadvantage for getting to Atlanta.

Why though? Because you think it will? LSU boosters will still demand quality OOC games. Are you in support of watching 3 cupcakes a year? The attendance for these games is declining and it's a chronic issue for all of college football. Why are you in favor of a failing model?

LSU has not always played 3 cupcakes a year in recent memory. LSU has sometimes played 2 decent OOC games. But we won't get those 2 decent OOC games as much anymore. It will be 9 SEC games, 1 decent OOC game, 2 rent a wins.

Boo hoo. That's a problem your boosters could solve if they wanted to.

Good...after we go to a nine team conference schedule will Hart be so kind as to schedule fsu (aka girls school) every year for UT? Didn't think so.

Outrecruit them so they won't be so good. Why is everyone whining about playing good opponents? That's what makes college football. Not the Georgia Southerns of the world.

And I'm sure Alabama is traveling to Gainesville too.

I believe UA went to Gainesville the last time we played each other in 2011.

I'm just making the point that we won't get as many of these matchups among all the SEC teams. It's not always about LSU. Relax.

TV money. Plain and simple. AU-Ga, Ala-Tn, LSU-Fl are better ratings than any rotating game.

Heck, y'all might not get to go back there for quite a while.

People would still tune in for LSU-Tenn, AU-Fl, Ga-Alabama.

False. Given two rotating OOC opponents, each team will play one historically strong and historically not as strong opponent every year. Alabama won't be "stuck" only playing Kentucky. A 9 game schedule almost assuredly increases your rotating opponent quality matchups.

UT has always scheduled strong OOC opponents and we always will.

2014 - @OU
2015 - OU
2016 - VaTech @ Bristol

We also have neutral site games scheduled against USC and Nebraska in the next few years as well.

Foley has been pretty open about his opposition to the 9 game schedule, maybe he has changed his stance, but I would imagine they want his support.

They'll be fine without it.
