Alabama had the first down. Deal with it. Nine in a row. Deal with that too.

Arrakis says you don't even know what you're talking about! That referee did everything exactly by the book.. 1st Down

Ok, so I just rewatched it on ESPN3.

Time to move up from a dail-up connection. That screen shot is blurry as a shite stain and it doesn't show when the ball carrier's knee touched the ground.

I guess you missed the still frame clearly indicating that Alabama wasn't given a good enough spot.

Are you thick? You sound like a bitch ignoring the entire point of the conversation just waiting for your next chance to talk. The ref made a spot with his foot where he marked the guy down, then kept moving the ball until it was a first. Confirming the first by looking back.

The final spot looks correct, the method to get there seems arbitrary.

The still frame of the player laying completely on the ground instead of showing when his knees hit like was mentioned earlier in the thread? Yeah I totally missed that completely irrelevant-to-the-discussion picture.

I paused the video as soon as his knee touched. I'm notoriously known for bitching about ref favoritism and have made it a a personal crusade of mine to document terrible SEC officiating calls; so yeah, it's not like I'm a Bama fan skewing the picture to benefit my team.

There is some serious tin-foil conspiracy in here.

Yes he is. Ole Miss fans regardless of the score bitch and whine about officiating after literally every game they play against Alabama. I remember the year Eli came to BDS and Ole Miss got beat by several TDs by Alabama.

Because we tend to get fricked by the refs when playing yall. This shite doesn't happen usually with LSU, State, or Auburn, but its guaranteed with Bama. I think when it turns into a trend, it seems to indicate a flaw within the system.

I can tell enough by where the Bama player was carrying the ball as he landed when it plays at regular speed. Again, if there was even a slight indication that the Bama player didn't make the first down I would be beating that drum. Go watch it on ESPN3 for yourself.

bama loses tonight if the obvious right calls were made.

By "obvious right calls" you mean the calls go against Bama, right? Obviously.

Im not mad, encouraged. just don't understand why yall can't say that was a little weird. might should have been a first down but not from where he spotted the ball originally. but good game, wouldnt have changed the outcome anyway

I'm just glad the ref looked back at the sticks to make sure the 1st down was going to be awarded. Just imagine if Bama had been given a bad spot. Not only does his REC check not come in, but he just might dissapear before next weekend's games.
