I really like Avery Johnson and I think most folks around here do,too. This is his year to make the tourney. If he doesn't, the heat will be on in -18-'19.

Check out his third year at all of his previous stops, hopefully the pattern will continue.

Yep - he's been pointing to and building for this year. If they don't make the NCAA Tournament this season then it's an underachievement, no doubt.

Where exactly would you put them?

In the NIT contender (outside NCAA Tournament) category with everyone else.

I expect this team in the NIT. We had one of the worst on-the-court/strategy coaches in the country last season, and the team quit. We will be much, much better this season.

College basketball isn't a sport where 3-year rebuilds are always necessary. If you have a good coach (which I believe Wade will be), you should see immediate improvement, and definitely be making strides by year 2.

his team is as stacked as its been since he got to oxford. I fully expect a international incident come march madness

I'll just say that I'll be very disappointed if A&M finishes 5th or worse. I expect a top 3 finish.

We return every decent player from last year, plus Hogg is back from injury, plus we go from no point guard last year to it being a team strength this year, with transfer Wilson, Caldwell eligible, and Starks on campus. Flagg will also contribute immediately.

I think everyone here is underestimating MO roster, I think the players around porter is going to make things interesting

I don't really know what to think of Mizzou this upcoming season. #7 recruiting class with good (not great) returning starters in Barnett, Phillips, Puryear, and transfer Robertson. I just hope it all comes down to Kim Anderson being a pathetic coach to Cuonzo being much better and actually improving them. I know Cuonzo has underachieved at his previous stops but he's a much better coach than the former. I could see Mizzou going to the NIT at worst to an elite 8 at best.

Missouri will definitely be a NIT/Bubble team. Their talent level will be really, really good.

I tihnk they could be an NIT team but NCAA bubble team, get out of here. They added 1 great player, that's not going to turn them around from 2-16 to 12-6 or better. Porter alone isn't nearly worth that. The only other real notable addition is a "solid" grad transfer. That team overall is still horrible.

You know nothing about what we added.

#1 overall player. Another 5* PF. A Center who is a top 30 player and was once a 5* as well before he had an injury his senior season. Two top 150 guards and a grad transfer who is one of the best shooters in the country.

Add that to solid SEC players Phillips, Barnett and Puryear.

Kentucky has a more talented roster. Nobody else does.

You do realize we added more than just porter Jr right? Do your damn research before u just mimic what you're hearing. We also return solid contributers from last years team who will benefit from not being asked to do more than they should. This isn't LSU adding Simmons only. Or Washington's 1 and done. We had a top 10 class, that will only get better with the addition of another 5* in jontay porter. Your ignorance is showing

I'm disappointed in all of this basketball talk with football now being 39 days away.

Shame!

However - we are dumb young. Youngest team ever at UK, but also talented and maybe the tallest team we have ever had. Lot of talent in the SEC, but no matter who a team has, they still have to gel together to win.

Personally, I like BAMA a lot. I wanted Sexton bad.

I think Will Wade and LSU will surprise some people this year. May be middle of the pack, fringe NIT contender, but definitely not bottom of the league. Only 5 scholorship players remain from last year's terrible team. Will Wade skimmed off the fat and brought in some really good players, including JC and graduate transfers. Should be much improved.

You do realize most of the top 10 classes were from the SEC. Since, that happened yalls jump will not be as big as you are expecting.
