Perry is one more shoe deal offer away from spurning MSU. Better hope signing day comes before Calapari decides he wants him.

Only reason I believe we got him and he stays is because he is a legacy.

That may keep him in Starkville. Our only shot was that he played AAU with other Arkansas commits......that didn't last long enough.

Arkansas is being slept on because of Kinglsey leaving. A lot of talent is returning on a team that made it to the 2nd round and played the national champs down to the wire.

Not piling on here, but would you have ever bet that Andy Kennedy would be the solid rock foundation of OM Athletics? I guess Bianco can reclaim that spot next year, though

Kennedy has a rock solid roster this season, and Bianco is loaded with potential provided the hitting coach earns his paycheck...the Universe would prove that it is fair if Kennedy takes his squad to the gestapo..errr...ncaa tourney and Bianco goes to Omaha. Our fan base deserves this shite.

. Not sure why the overreaction to Missouri. They wil lstill be one of the worst teams in the conference and struggle to win more than 6 or 7 conference games.

We lost Carrera, Kacinas and Chatkevicius the year before. We'll still win our fair share, just may have to win differently than last year.

Group D - Ugly Year 1 of Rebuild
LSU

I would have said that about 2-3 months back, but Wade has really turned over the roster and added some nice talent. The team will look completely different from last year. They are still trying to add a guy too, Randy Onwuasor (PER of over 22 last season). Like I said, I dont see anyone in the conference who looks totally hopeless. Which I expect no team to have only 2 or 3 conference wins there, more like 4 or 5 at the very bottom.

AK has always had respect on the court. I'm talking about Andy Kennedy being the upstanding citizen on staff

Yea, I mean, I guess "ugly year 1" is not the best wording since it was be better than last season for sure. I just think they'll be at or near the bottom of the league and probably win 5 or 6 SEC games.

Missouri will definitely be a NIT/Bubble team. Their talent level will be really, really good.

I tihnk they could be an NIT team but NCAA bubble team, get out of here. They added 1 great player, that's not going to turn them around from 2-16 to 12-6 or better. Porter alone isn't nearly worth that. The only other real notable addition is a "solid" grad transfer. That team overall is still horrible.

Arkansas will be a top three team. This is supposedly Mike's best team and even generally pessimistic/realistic fans agree.

I think you could name about 5 or 6 teams that could finish #3 behind UK/UF and not be wrong right now. Alabama/Arkansas/A&M/Vandy/Auburn/MSU IMO. I would put USC/UGA/Mizzou/Tennessee/Ole Miss in that next group after them.

I definitely see why anyone would have LSU #14 right now on paper, and I would conceeded 14th easily a couple months back, but Will Wade has done some fantastic things in the short few months he's been here. If he lands Randy Onwuasor that would mean he added FIVE new players to this year's roster from the time he got here which is nuts considering the 2nd basketball signing day for the 2017 class was just a couple weeks before he arrived. He's chased off the 4 worst players from last year's team.

They added the #1 player in America and 2 other Top 100 players (#7 overall class). They bring back Barnett, Puryear and Phillips plus Robertson from Canisius transferring in.

They will not be horrible. I don't know how good they will be, but they will definitely be at worst a 16-20 win team.

MSU was the 2nd youngest team in the NCAA last year. With another big man, 2 Weatherspoons, and a lot more experience, I expect us to be greatly improved.

I don't know how that will translate into wins and losses, but I like our chances for this year as Howland continues to build up the program.
