You can't just go off of last season, every team in the conference, especially the west is going to be a lot better with many new coaches entering their third or fourth year. Many teams have lots of young players returning. I watched as my 6-12 team beat your 12-6 team with a lot more youth

Epps, Reath, Mays, and Sampson are solid guys, then you have a top 20 class. I'm not sure what to expect of Jeremy Combs, but he'll give us good minutes.

Yes, I know the conference is absolutely stacked. LSU isn't going to be blown out like last season and play spoiler a handful of times. if we have a nice OOC record LSU is going to make the NIT.

Again I'm not arguing LSU is an NCAA team but LSU is not going to be garbage by any means

I'm not.

plus the recruits we're adding

We immediately fill the void left by Kinglsey with Gafford (5* C)

How'd that work out in the SEC tourney and March Madness?

Oh I'm sure they will be better than last season and probably be a pain in the arse for teams. I like Wade a lot, he's gonna do a good job. I just think it will be a typical first year without much talent (relative to the competition) and LSU will probably struggle to win games. 15-17 (6-12) type season or something.

I certainly don't expect them to go 10-21 or only win 2 SEC games again.

When is Bruce Pearl going to do anything at Auburn? This is his 4th year and his roster is stacked with talent. He has finished 13th, 13th, and 11th in the conference. This has to be his put up or shut up year.

Definitely a huge year for them. This is put up or shut up time. They have a really solid roster with experience and talent.

In the West? Huh?

Also, LSU is trash.
Arkansas will for certain be ranked in the top 25 by the end of the season. This poll is garbage. Arkansas will be in the top 15. Maybe 10.

Yeah, I'm really crossing my fingers for 8-10. I think that gets LSU in the tournament. 7-11 gets LSU in the NIT, which is possible. LSU really needs to steal one from Michigan in Maui. Belein's teams are pretty inconsistent.

Still stoked for 2 seasons ahead. I can't believe the job Wade is doing recruiting, and this top 20 class we have make for a nice foundation

Best returning players are....Patterson

Patterson isn't returning to the team. He is redshirting and transferring after this year.

I think LSU will be similar to Auburn last year. Plenty of transfers that no one really knows how the pieces will work together, but have the opportunity to outplay projections.

Before the Will Wade was hired this team was going to be 14th in the conference no doubt. Since he has taken the job and got to work my outlook for this team has changed. I'm not saying they are going to win the conference, but they could be in the middle of the conference instead of dead last.

I have no doubt in my mind that the 2017-2018 LSU team will be a better team than the 2016-2017 LSU team. That's not saying much but it a lot better then what it looked like before the new coaching hire.

Now that might be a little high but if we play with the intensity we played with against NC in the tourney we've got a dang good shot.

Johnny Jones had pretty good success against Mike. Pigs should be nervous once Wade gets his guys in. I know how much beating LSU means to yall

If we bottled up how we played against NC and used it every game, we'd be talking about a 1 seed.

I think (hope) that this year the team turns the corner. Bruce finally has his talent and players on the roster from top to bottom, and he has some serious talent. The defensive issues from last year have got to get cleaned up - our offense is as explosive as anybody in the league.

Not piling on here, but would you have ever bet that Andy Kennedy would be the solid rock foundation of OM Athletics?

The rumor is that some GOB boosters are campaigning hard to get him replaced behind the scenes.

Vitter didn't offer AK an extension last season and he only has 1 year left on his deal. He could very well be gone next year if he doesn't make the NCAAT at minimum.

Look, Arkansas will be ranked in the top 25 before the season even officially starts.

Arkansas is going to run UNC out of the gym in the second round of the PK80. Mark it down.

The coaching and talent in this league right now is pretty unbelievable. I'm really excited for league play next year. Going to be a lot of fun. I think there is a chance the SEC totally blows up in the OOC schedule and becomes must see TV all winter/spring.

I mean think about the players in the league next year......

Draft Express 2018 Draft Top 60
1. Michael Porter (Missouri)
6. Robert Williams (Texas A&M)
8. Collin Sexton (Alabama)
14. Hamidou Diallo (Kentucky)
22. Nick Richards (Kentucky)
41. Donta Hall (Alabama)
54. D.J. Hogg (Texas A&M)
56. Matthew Fisher-Davis (Vanderbilt)

That's a bunch of dudes on 5 different teams, plus a lot of other talented guys.
