Is it strange for the Bama fans to be this excited about basketball?

No. Anyone who knows about basketball and isn't just trying to troll knows there are a lot of Bama fans who love basketball. We're historically one of the better teams in the SEC and have fans to match. The second half of Gottfried's tenure and most of Grant's put a damper on some of the excitement, but put a decent product on the floor and you'll see the support. There's a 200+ page thread on the Bama board now about offseason basketball and recruiting.

Everyone knows Barford and Macon are good,

Ya, you would think but they haven't really been shown that much love lately. Macon said in a interview yesterday that the team feels a little disrespected as well as some individual players.

Agreed on the polls part, it doesn't matter much and I'm not worried about it.

Final Four to #48. Quite a drop, but I can see it happening.

Sorry if I came off as a dick but the "you don't know much about us" shite gets under my skin a bit. I watched plenty of South Carolina basketball last year.

Dozier and Notice were your second and third best offensive players (there's an argument for Silva over Notice, but they're interchangeable). There's a reason Dozier has a two-way contract. Even if they're both flawed, you'll have a hard time convincing me that Holden and the grad transfers will be able to replace their production alone, without even mentioning Thornwell's. The idea that South Carolina's offense is going to improve without these guys is crazy. Better hope that Holden is Klay Thompson and Myers is DeMar DeRozan.

And regarding thag Elite Eight game -- Dozier played 36 minutes. Notice played 38. We couldn't stop Dozier. We also have a preseason Top 10 team and you guys will be the answer to a trivia question in ten years.

Fake apologies are so dumb.

It's funny when someone accuses other people of not doing any research when it's obvious he's done no research himself.

I'm calling it now: Donta' Hall is going to be all-SEC this year and could give Robert Williams a run for DPOY.

I got increasingly more aggressive as the post went along. I apologize.

Or do I?
