Reb, that mentality of "Cash is King" for keeping and landing Coaches/Players is going to be your downfall.

We're going to get in trouble for paying our coaches too much?

Do you even hear yourself when you type?

It's all connected. Reb's throw money at coaches to recruit. coaches are forced to throw money at recruits in order to keep their jobs. Get ready for some of your coaches from the past to shed a little light on it ----Soon. By the way Happy Valentines-Pank

Yeah. Lee Woolridge is probably one of the most unbiased people I know.

This is what the rant has come to. He took the job because he's always wanted to become a head coach. Next.

I'm sure that's exactly what Mississippi state faculty wants everyone to believe.

I'm sure it's just to "pursue other job opportunities".

My God,
pank is now worse than coach/mbutterfly.

This was probably Hughes last chance to be a Head coach and he took it.

It's clear that the black bears are in full panic mode now.

Grats pank, you are now the crappiest poster on the rant!

You represent that black bears well, and we all feel sorry for you.

I agree, your dropping down to mbutterfly level with an OP like this does constitute a sweet melt on your part.

Best of luck with your ongoing investigations.

Hearing that this is not over and the NCAA has boots on the ground.

Bring them on. If we did in fact fraudulently get guys into school with fake ACT scores, then we deserve to get hammered. See how easy that is? But if Hughes knew he was about to get slammed on academic fraud with subsequent show cause, he would have stayed at State at $400k rather than going to JSU and get fired due to the show cause.

Black bears don't understand that mentality.

They are a "lose at all costs" kind of group.

If State did something against the rules, then the NCAA will hit us. From what little I know, Mullen cleaned up a lot of the dirtier stuff, and that is one reason he is known as "not a good recruiter".

Agree with you. If anyone cheats they need to be punished.

I hear he wanted HC experience so in 3-4 years when Ole Miss comes off the death penalty he can throw his name in the hat for the HC position in Oxford.
