Unless he learned how to run a program, instead of letting the inmates run it, and actually coach a game... that is not possible.

why the frick would he take the Alabama job? fricking hell, everyone in Alabama are the most delusional fricks I have ever seen. Both jobs (AU and Bama) are fricking terrible. You would think after Gregg Marshall embarrassing the frick out of Bama and they're forced to hire a retread from the NBA because no one in 5 years would even touch him, would confirm that Alabama jobs are shite besides UAB. Auburn only got Pearl out of shear luck and he will never amount to anything there, because you can not win at Auburn. Stick to football, you're a football state and you will always be. Leave basketball to Kentucky, Arky, South Carolina, Mizzou, Tennessee and Vandy. Notice besides South Carolina the other schools are mid south where basketball has fan support and can win. South Carolina is a sleeping giant in the middle of the Carolina's where bball is huge and CFM will get us right up there.

You do realize that was a Tennessee poster right?

And you calling any one out for delusion is one of the funnier things I've seen on here in a while

Would you consider Archie a good hire?

I would agree. UF was great at basketball the last decade because of its coach, not the program. Without an elite coach UF is just like the rest of us. It is not a blueblood program that recruits itself. It will be a really tough job for whoever they hire. The fans will have UK level expectations at a Texas level program. Not to mention the fact that UF is coming off its worst season in a very long time.

UF should be very happy if they can land Archie Miller.

Archie would be fine. There's not much out there available that would be "homerun".

We made the final four prior to Billy and had some success.

Grant is available and familiar with the program amirite?
Don't know if he can win at UF, but he can damn sure lose to them!

No melt. Maybe some snickering from some.

Pelphry was all class (best I remember.)
Even in his exit he was nothing but gracious.

As a head coach, at that time of his life, he just was not ready for this level of basketball.

His recruiting choices were not the best and he never could get a true point guard. His recruits left us in serious academic trouble.

Maybe he's learned a lot more, maybe he's ready now.

Seemed like a good guy, just not a good coach at the time.

Good luck.

I guess so! The man was at UF for 17 years and produced amazing results. I'm kind of sad myself that he won't be part of the SEC anymore.

Archie signed with Dayton through 2022 recently, even though I know that means shite.

Florida would be a good place for him to coach for a while until he eventually becomes HC at NC State after the Gottfried era ends
