Florida coaches wouldn't have changed his mentality. Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. He just doesn't have what it takes on the FBS level.

Terrible decision, should have never followed that idiot. He would have played since day one at Florida, and would be lining up with Cece.

You guys are frickin' crazy, man. He barely played, probably didn't get half of the shite he was promised and gave no fricks about Auburn. I guarantee you he'd be in a way, way better position right now if he had come to Florida.

Our team, as bad as they are on the offensive side, has actually coached up the defensive line pretty well.

Cece Jefferson's numbers vs. Byron Cowart's are pretty laughable. If the kid had come to Florida he wouldn't have been mediocre, not that bad. Cowart in parenthesis.

Cece Total Tackles: 65 (15)
Cece Total Sacks: 6 (0)
Tackles for Loss: 17.5 (1.5)

Same year, same type of player. Should have come to Florida where he'd at least get a chance to play. Poor frickin' dude.

Yes because AU's DL has really struggled the past 2 years....

Jefferson is just better than Cowart. Cowart doesn't have it between the ears and it wouldn't have mattered where he went. Sucks because he's got all the talent in the world but not the toughness.

Hope it works out for him and he finds success wherever he lands

Florida's defensive line is that bad?

This is the same guy that was getting dominated in Auburn practices by walk-on offensive linemen. And getting passed up by walk-on defensive linemen. He's not good. Stop looking at stars.

I've also heard thru a friend who knows Stidhams gf, he regrets going to Auburn. Doesn't feel at home there

Whatever!

I'm sure he felt perfectly at home all spring & summer when the "Family" had him on a pedestal. Now that he's under a freaking microscope, and his every move is analyzed, criticized, and critiqued down to his eye balls and foot placement, he's not feeling so comfortable.

Welcome to big time football Stid.....because the next 8 weeks of SEC play will make you a man or a mouse.

To be fair, texfag rides Alabama's nuts all the time. He might be a closet Bammer.

Super talented but he liked the idea of being a 5* recruit more than being a football player.

You can throw poor coaching out the window. Everyone is doing fine, except for littl 'ol, mentally weak Bryan.

Empty promises? Everyone gets those. And they don't have anything to do with performance on the field.

fricking thank you. ''Hey, we have a five star DE and instead of putting him on the field, we're gonna just have him hang out on the sideline. Then the guy who recruited him is gonna just frick right on off the exact same year he was recruited.''

He has expressed (albeit a bit more subtle) his unhappiness with Auburn for a while.

Byron Cowart "said he wants to quit" and pursue other opportunities. Strong word there.
I mean, I hope Auburn doesn't even set any restrictions. I want this guy to play at an SEC school and I want Auburn to run the ball at him every play. And if he's not on the field, he's wasting a scholly for that team.

It's just not true. We rotate everyone on the defense outside of cornerbacks (and even them from time to time). Playing time can get guys really fired up, especially if they were told they'd get a lot when they were recruited.

"Oh, man! You had 5 stars next to your name! You should definitely play over someone (EVERYONE) that has performed better at practice and in game time! Mainly because you have stars!"

Maybe there's a reason he didn't get many snaps? Marlon Davidson started as a true freshman over him. Garner isn't afraid to play young guys if they are ready. Cowart never earned his way onto the field. Nick Coe as a redshirt fresman is basically a de facto 5th starter.

There's plenty that AU sucks at doing right now but our DL is not one of them. That should tell you something about Cowart

Christ Almighty, you don't think Auburn rotates?

Even Byron Cowart was seeing playing time. Albeit, not much, because why should he? He sucks.
