Cowart was the fifth DT and was actually losing reps to walk on Gary Walker Jr. On Mercers lone scoring drive Cowart got trucked by their 190 lb RB on a third down. He has been mentally and physically weak the entire time at AU. He tried to hang in for a year but he checked out completely last season when Marlon Davidson came in on day 1 and was a starter while Cowart was getting pushed around by walk ons. They move him to DT were he had no chance to pass Derrick Brown or Dontavious Russell but thought he may compete with Andrew Williams. Williams literally body slammed him during an Oklahoma drill and tea bagged him.
