Who are all of these "elite teams" that you are imagining in your head?

Well, that’s only one of my points I made. Broadly I feel like the overall quality of the sport is down. The way recruiting has gone since the CFP has led to a seemingly greater concentration of top talent signing with the same half dozen or so teams than before the playoff. If one of those teams misses at a critical position (on or off the field even), then you’ve mortally wounded what little competition exists anyway.

College football is in a sickly place. Even if everyone gets their Saban era death rattle, it will not likely lead to anyone new getting promoted into the elite pack. It will just be a feast for regional competitors already at the elite level.

Because it's an snooze fest of a "rivalry" that shouldn't keynote your season, just like Tulane was for us. I can remember standing underneath the stands in Tiger Stadium the last week of the regular season watching the Iron Bowl on the monitor while we were skull dragging Tulane, and that was during the freaking Dinardo era. We all have our share of big games and cupcakes, but ya'll should end the season with a more competitive game.

So we should schedule an FCS or group of five for another home date the way you guys do?

The thing is that out of conference rivalry game is not preventing us from scheduling the FSUs, Clemsons, UCLAs that you all beat your chest about playing. We're doing that on top of playing Tech. Tech is going through a rough stretch right now, but they are not Tulane historically.

BTW, as far as that end of the season thing, they had the same record as the team you played last year to end the season. And had you beaten that team you played at the end, Tech would've had a better record. So there's that.

Not really, especially when you consider the amount of times "UGA's weak schedule" is said on here and other places without actually looking into it.

What's weird is that you're saying it's a weird flex when one of the teams they are certainly shitting on when saying it is your own.

Nebraska 1994-1995: 12 of 25 (48%)

I know people love 1995 Nebraska, but they played a bunch of shite that year.

Nebraska and its entire schedule (including Florida) produced two first round draft picks in the ‘96 draft - and both were busts. The “Top 10” Kansas, Florida, Colorado, and Kansas State teams they played had 7 first round draft picks from ‘96-‘98. The Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida teams that 2019 LSU faced had 27 first round draft picks from ‘20-‘22.

Can you imagine 2019 LSU playing 12 games seeing just one player who would be drafted in the first round the following spring? And can you imagine that Florida team with nothing better than a 3rd rounder anywhere on defense (over three drafts) trying to stop them?

No conference championship, no semifinal.

A lot of SEC teams in recent years would obliterate that slate too.

Trust me there would have been few extra tix for sale. If you seen our home schedule lately its been dogshit and fans here would have loved to have Georgia in town. Separate from why ot was canx, fans were looking forward to it. Last big OOC team we had in town was tOSU I believe. We had Nebby in 21 and UCLA in 18 and tOSU in 16. GA having come off 2 titles woild have been a great time.

It would have been a great atmosphere no doubt. I still highly doubt that either school was overly concerned with playing the game...they had both agreed to do so. It doesn't matter now, what is done is done...UGA and OU will get a chance to play a bunch going forward hopefully. The 2018 Rose Bowl was one of the best games ever played...

Are you retarded or unable to comprehend stats? Take a long look at what the OP posted. It speaks for itself.
