Had he not been a dumbass and gotten kicked off of team in 2012 and ended up staying the whole time? How good would he have been overall + Plus Gurley and Chubb came along in subsequent years (2012, 2014).

Would things have been much different, perhaps another division title?

Just wanted some opinions as he's done nicely with CLE and NYJ since then.

He was talented but a massive pussy with no heart. Gurley and Chubb would have passed him on the depth chart.

Gurley would've passed him, but dear God, if he had somehow stayed till his senior season - imagine a 2014 backfield with:

Todd Gurley
Keith Marshall
Isaiah Crowell
Nick Chubb
Sony Michel
Brendan Douglas

That's taking it a little far but no doubt he'd have lost carries to Gurley and Chubb. He never really seemed to care that much at UGA and skated by on crazy talent. Had conditioning issues and couldn't pass protect for shite to the point where he had to be taken out on obvious passing downs.

Seriously, only freshman I've ever seen with the kind of talent to dominate. Proved in the game and still the coaches would have to beg him to get on the field to play.

Now, I've seen that in practice. But in the freaking game where you earn your draft status?

Over and over again fans and the main writers covering UGA would tell me to cool it, "he's just a freshman". I'd ask them to name me one freshman from the past like that. They'd never give me an answer.

I would've loved to have seen Crow splitting carries with Gurley and Marshall, but I think he started to take his career more seriously after his dismissal and I'm glad he's doing well in the pros.

He was a true freshman at Georgia. What exactly were you expecting?

He had the most unique running style i have ever seen. He always looked like he was falling down but somehow got 5 yards

He wouldn't have made it. Had attitude issues, Gurley and Marshall would have passed him on depth chart. Very good talent though

That the 6'1, 220 pound 5* RB is a better pass protection option than 5'6, 170 pound Carlton fricking Thomas who routinely got bulldozed by opposing pass rushers. Our RB depth that year was horrendous.

Crowell was a 1st down warrior.

He'd rip off 5 or 6 yards on first down.
He'd get stuffed on 3rd and short or in goaline.

No, we didnt have a good OL.
But that didn't stop Gurley,Chubb,Michel earlier in their careers.

Look at the TD numbers. We had 3 rushing TDs from the QB spot. 2 rushing TDs from defensive backs.
Crowell finished with 5 rushing TDs as our primary back.

With time to mature, Crowell would have been badass at uga. He was good without toughness as a true frosh. Shame we couldn’t replace a talent like him.
