Don't expect the normal Death Valley experience if it is in BR. Attendance was poor for USC game last year.

Why can't we just bump it a few days-- didn't LSU do that for Katrina with UT?

We've got no plans to travel to Florida. Should it be moved to BR 100% chance that we go .. but NOT for "cheap seats" or any "bargain". Honestly, I was looking forward to a Saturday of watching football from my sofa -- I'm tired!

I 100% want decisions made based on what is SAFEST for all involved. And yes, I wouldn't want my Tigers or your Gators flying on Friday ... keep it there or move it here they'd have to go/come on Thursday.

But I'm betting that hotels will be needed in Gainesville for recovery efforts.

Yes, it was with Hurricane Rita. Tennessee flew into Baton Rouge on Monday morning and played the game Monday night. LSU was hellbent on playing this game in Baton Rouge.

No that was for Rita ... and I do NOT remember at what point it was deemed OK to have it in BR emergency personnel wise. Hurricane Rita hit 200 miles or so WEST of Baton Rouge.

No. We did it for Rita. A storm that hit 201 miles away on the Texas/LA border.

UT were huge assholes. Received a ton of negative press that week.

Monday in Gainesville is an option BUT, do you have a crystal ball in terms of the condition of Gainesville. You probably have little to no experience with Canes. ANYTHING is possible and even if the storm itself doesn't mess up Gainsville, tornadoes from the storm can stretch for a long long way.

Monday night - Gainesville - Risky

It should be moved from Gainsvillle unless the track changes, but knowing that far enough in advance is unlikely. However, even as an LSU fan who went to USC game last year, they should try to avoid playing it in BR if there are other viable options. I'd love another home game but if they can play it at a neutral site they should.

But if the mess is closer to Gainseville than it was BR they may still not have security personnel, stadium personnel, etc to work the event.

I totally get not wanting to move the game ... REALLY I do BUT if it gets moved to MONDAY and then they CAN'T play Monday for whatever reason, then what do you do then??

Another option is just roll the teams out at a field of their choice and play the game. They can issue refunds to ticket holders and just play the damn game sans crowd, security, vendors, bands, etc. A ghost game. Hell, they could do that on a good HS football stadium in Tampa or somewhere. Just get the game in.

Ucf Tulane was postponed. Gotta think they'll do something with the LSU game now. Either play in BR or move it.

What about Tampa? Ray J won't work because of USF but maybe the Trop in St Pete?
