Idk what a cope out is, no.

But it's not an excuse. Add another 9 juniors to bamas early departures and y'all lose 2 more games this year.

False. Improved QB will help but the offensive line will need to be rebuilt.

OL will be fine

Everyone keeps saying this but the depth chart looks fine to me. Valentine back too.

I will give cam credit for improving mett. However, Mett is a completely different animal than Jennings/Harris. Mett is a type of qb that he has worked with over the last few years. He did coach Randle el at IU but that was years ago and he is the closest qb to compare to what is on our roster. I think we would have been better off sticking with harris even after the auburn debacle. its hard to put all of that on him when our d gave up 17 early and we refused to pass the ball until down 17-0 which lead to the auburn d having an easy time rushing the passer and still being able to maintain coverage down field.

Jennings didn't really regress, he just kinda stayed on a flat line. I can't fault cam for Jennings being here because he didn't recruit him. He did have a part in recruiting Harris though and he should put more trust in Harris. My issue on the trust part is the coaches are trying to jam them into a system that doesn't fit them. If all the other pieces on offense can fit into any system then we need to find a system that fits our qbs. the Qbs we have on roster are spread guys, stop putting them under center. We could be extremely conservative out of shot gun and get more production than we did this year.

Id also be ok with finding some 3 star qb and recruiting him if he is a guy that can play under center and manage the game.

when we botch this year this will be excuse number 1 trotted out by the pumpers.

they will then lower expectations to having a team that can compete for titles every 4 years

I think we can all agree on this.

It most definitely is an excuse. I'm so sorry miles can't keep marginal NFL players happy enough in BR to stay for their senior season, but Miles is the problem not the NFL. None of you want to admit it all comes back to Miles.

And it's not an excuse. Players leaving a program is a reason. They can't play if they aren't on the team. It's pretty simple, but I understand you may have trouble grasping it. I'll lay it out for you:

Players on the team--they get to play for the team and contribute

Players who leave early--they do not get to play on the team or contribute.

Let me know if I should dumb this down any further for you. I can use specific players as examples if you need it.

id suggest you get better at reading. Most LSU fans know who to correctly blame for problems.

I am so sick of reading this same line from every LSU fan on this site. Bama has players leave early all the time as well. The difference is bama gets more out of them for the three years they have them and has other players ready to step in when they leave. There is a reason Saban seems to rarely redshirt the really good recruits anymore. Yes the playing time some of them get their first year seems trivial but he knows he probably only has them 3 years so might as well get them some experience.

We had like, 5 players redshirt last year. One of them was Valentine, and the SEC just decided that he wasn't allowed to play because reasons.

I decided to give you an example as I'm in the Christmas spirit.

Jeremy Hill. Ya see, he left LSU early and was therefore not able to play for LSU this season. But Lael Collins did not leave early, and therefore he got to play for LSU and make an impact. Ya see what happens when guys leave early is that they can no longer play for LSU, and therefore LSU fills their position with someone of less experience.

I really would love to hear miles and cams reason for not wanting to run power plays out of the shotgun. we saw what it did to a&m and wisconsin. I don't think we need to go 100 percent shot gun but id like to see us in it probably 70 percent of the time. It allows our oline to open up huge holes, it allows the possibility for more than one man routes, and it could open up our screen game.

Its almost like miles believes if we go shotgun then everyone will call us a soft team or something.

Bama has gotten "lucky" in some regards relating to juniors declaring. Some have been injured prior to their junior year and needed that extra year to show they were healthy. Mosely and Hightower come to mind.

Bottom line is LSU has those guys for 3 years. It is up to Miles to get the most out of them for the time he has them and then have players ready to step in once they leave. Poor LSU has so much NFL talent it hurts their team. You do realize what a cope out excuse that is?

I was responding to a dumbass posts about bama having to deal with juniors leaving too while lsu has lost twice the amount of juniors bama has.

The same Les Miles with a top 5 win % in sec history and the #1 ooc win % in sec history? Get a grip. All of 1 sec program is better than lsu.

Had to edit my post. I know that LSU juniors are leaving at a faster rate. But why is that? Alabama is losing some all - world talent early also. Just this year we will lose Collins, Cooper, Yeldon, maybe Ragland but next year you can bet that someone will step into those roles.
