The team that got arse pounded by Arkansas and Auburn by a combined score of 58-7?

Sure, why not. In the realm of possibilities anything is possible.

We all should know that it only takes Cam Cameron 3 years to turn 4* QBs into serviceable SEC QBs.

True.

False. Their defense will still be terrible and they lack playmakers on offense.

Wrong and wrong.

LSU returns 9 or 11 from the SEC's #1 defense.
LSU has playmakers all over the field on offense, we just lack a QB.

i personally dont see us making a playoff, another common denominator is how many of our juniors go to the draft. we simply just cant afford to lose the amount of players that have been declaring year after year and realistically compete at the highest level

It would depend on just how much improvement the quarterback made. LSU's quarterback play could be mediocre, and it would still be better than last year. They still wouldn't make the playoffs under that scenario

Rumor has it we aren't losing that many this year. We'll see.

Their front 7 is going to be pretty stout next year and back to its usual form. Arkansas is going to be a very competitive team, but you have ask how good they'l be if their running game gets shut down and become a predictable offense relying on their QB in Tiger Stadium. Auburn is breaking in Jeremy Johnson. While he's pretty damn talented and will have a good backfield behind him, their receivers next year are questionable (not saying they're not talented..).

The Ole Miss and 'Bama games on the road will be tough.

And Alabama loses 75% of its offensive production in Sims, Cooper, and Yeldon, not to mention one of the best defensive players in the country.

Somebody woke up on the wrong side of the bed, damn.

I don't recall an Alabama offense being so dependent on so few players in the past. Remember, Lane Kiffin is about "players, not plays." What happens when he doesn't have a 5th year senior QB, the best receiver in the country, and a 10-year NFL RB?

Their replacements are Coker (couldn't hack it at FSU, couldn't beat out Sims), Henry (sophomore slump after huge freshman year), and three WRs who are freshmen right now. I look at that and see down year, at least offensively, for the Tide.

False, the SEC won’t be down back-to-back years.

The SEC is watered down with 1 great team and a bunch of good teams (Miss St, Ole Miss, LSU, UGA, Auburn). Some call it parity, I call it a transition year.

Talk me through this one. Which teams are going to be clicking on all cylinders next year?

and we were all pointing and laughing at bama's " qb situation" after the spring game, i think it worked out. at the end of the day im a realist and in reality they just plug in players year after year after year.

Sure, with Sims. Saban's not a god, dude. Players matter. Frankly, Saban has always had serviceable but intelligent QBs with elite playmakers at RB and WR.

I look at next year's group and I'm not seeing that.

and we all said the same thing about sims comiing into the season. saban may not be a god but he's unquestionably the best at getting everything out of his players and gameplaning around the personel available to him. and yes players matter, every one of his 5 star and 4 star number one ranked classes matter.

The sec is not watered down bro. The west will be even better with an elite lsu added and the east will be stronger as well. Any fool can see that that the corndogs have a top five team next year.

I mean, he's looking at Derrick Henry and three or four WRs with little experience. Freshmen and sophomores. The group has no leader. Tough task for any coach.

45% belongs to Cooper. And the defense will be as strong as it ever is at 'Bama. Even with the loss of Collins, the majority of the defense returns, especially on the front 7 lead by Reggie Ragland. All the players like Allen, Evans, Robinson, Anderson, and Lee all return. That's not even half of the players who have made an impact this year. Henry, Kenyan Drake, Tyren Jones, and Bo Scarbrough can easily substitute for Yeldon. The real question lies on the receiver core and who will be the QB (but most assume it will be Coker..). Ardarius Stewart showed promise and Cam Sims has had significant PT this year. The talent at receiver is not questionable, just lacks experience. Honestly though looking at it, outside of Cooper, the hardest loss to replace will be Fowler at FB.

Alabama is not going anywhere.

Alabama is really not even that great this year. Just played a favorable schedule. They still could have easily lost 4 or 5 games.
