It would be a bad pr move for Mixon to go first round. I kinda hope he does though so roger has to explain how the league is ok with domestic violence

Chalk this up as another Gump thread about Fournette.

His pass blocking is below average for a RB and he's not an every down back. His max reps of the 225 pound bench is only 9. Is he quick? Sure. Is he going to "dominate" in the NFL when everybody else is quick, no. If anything, he is a hybrid RB/WR type or third down back. That's what the Panthers don't need. Panthers need a downhill runner.

This is fricking retarded. Glad he's not in an arm wrestling competition or on the oline or his bench reps would actually matter. I wonder how much he can squat? Ya know with his legs where all the power from a running back comes. And not a downhill runner? Watch film of him running over AU players a couple years ago.

Auburn didn't play Stanford a couple years ago...

Agreed. He doesn't have the body durability to be picked that high. In order to justify paying him round 1 money, he's going to have to play a time and if he does he'll get pounded. Kind of reminds me of Cadillac Williams.

No. LF7 will not purchase millions of dollars of methamphetamine for you.

Well, he's now drawing comparisons to Shady McCoy, so...

How many 1st Round RBs are worth a damn when their second contract rolls around ? Best to use the 3rd Round pick to select your RB, the NFL is a QB/WR/DBs league

Why would anyone be upset if Mixon goes in the first round?

Probably people feeling like he should be further punished for this:

Just me, but I kind of equate a stiff arm to a dumbbell press, which is a modified version of the bench. I don't think it's completely irrelevant for the position.

I listened to the link but I can't get down with comparing Mccaffrey to McCoy. Similar height and weight but running style is still different. Mccaffrey is better suited for the versatility among the two but McCoy is the better runner.

Ok....I'll take the hook....
BUT....let's assume LF7 is very good at catching the ball out of the backfield (which he is!)
You pass the ball to him in the flat...
He's in open space against a one on one mismatch....
He is the biggest, strongest, and BTW, fastest effing RB in the league...
NFL scouts already are salivating over this situation...
Not to mention his obvious running skills....
We will see!

P.S.
Remember a few weeks ago when all of the experts were saying Dalvin Cook was the best RB in this draft?
He's dropping like a rock!

Another P.S.
Why is McCaffery more "versatile" if he can't run the ball on downs 1-3 in the NFL?
He is not a LeSean McCoy....he is a Reggie Bush...

Go home Trey, you're drunk. I will bet my life saving with anyone on this board that Fournette is the first RB taken!

To be fair, Trey understands that the old school backs like LF are getting phased out. The James White's out there are considered just as valuable even if only on the field on third down.

LF didn't do much in the passing game because Les not because LF. I watched every LSU game at least once. LF rarely dropped a pass when thrown to. Had some outstanding runs off passes, including one of his better truck jobs in the Ole Miss game.

If they uses him that way, he could be putting up Marshall Faulk receiving numbers. LF is a good receiver.
