Here's the issue:
I don't think Gus has the ability to have a "sophisticated" passing scheme. I think Sean will get the receivers the ball in spite of Malzahn (due to his accuracy), but I think Malzahn's passing scheme is very elementary. Without the play action and pre-snap misdirections, his passing scheme isn't very effective. As Auburn fans, we harp on WRs not "running good routes", but to me it's a signal of them running the shitty routes they're told to.

The Gus Bus is in need of a tune up. His passing game is very simple, he uses motion and formations as smoke and mirrors so that his QB doesnt have to read a defense. Im more surprised that the Auburn D with Muschamp is no better than it is. Worst D he has been associated with.

I thought his teams at Tulsa were pretty pass happy. At least that's what we were told that this years offense would be compared to considering the qb.

I think this defense will be better at the end of the year, as opposed to last year where it regressed.
Muschamp is not afraid to pull underperforming seniors for freshman. This means we take more lumps in the short term, but when a defense is this bad, you have to build for a gradual improvement.
