the thing that should worry defenses (and fans of those defenses) is Tre put up ungodly numbers with a 4th round skillset... just think what might happen in this offense if we actually had a Herschel or Bo in the backfield.

That said, ya right Tre.
right... so which is it? Either Tre was nothing special, or he was special and we're about to take that step back...
i think i know the answer... just curious about everybody else.

Get out, a football player self promoting before a draft. The nerve of that kid.

Colt Brennan and Graham Harrell could make some cool stat comparison pictures also
Mason is such a attention whore. Guy is doing Heisman poses on the sideline while the Heisman winner is leading his team on a game winning drive. He's a mediocre RB that benefited from a successful system and thats it. His own fanbase doesn't even think they will skip a beat without him and all they have is a couple of 3 stars that haven't done anything and a true freshman.

Technically you could include McFadden's passing and kickoff return yardage to put his total yards over 2,000

Did bama fans think they would skip a beat when Ingram left?

Sometimes I wonder if some of you even watch the games. Tre was legit. There's no denying that.

I'm going to ask a non trolly question and hope I get some decent responses.
Does any Auburn fan really believe he belongs in the same discussion as McFadden and Herschel?
If he does, how big of a blow is it to lose him? I honestly know jack shite about any recruiting that isn't LSU's so I honestly have no idea who you guys have as a back up.

Well Herschel was a different era, so there really isnt a comparison, but DMAC, sure why not, his stats match up

Could be big, could be negligible, who knows how the offense evolves

No, but he's the second-best running back to walk the halls of Auburn University.*
Since I was old enough to follow Auburn football, I've seen players like Rudi Johnson, Cadillac and Ronnie, Brandon Jacobs, Kenny Irons, Ben Tate, and Michael Dyer all tote the rock in orange and blue, and I wouldn't trade Tre Mason for any of them.
But I swear, I've never seen a stable of backs with as much potential here as we've got coming back next year. Roc Thomas looked better in high school than Carnell Williams, and we've got two punishing backs in Cam Artis-Payne and Peyton Barber that could start at most all of the schools in the conference.
*Edit: In the post-Shug Jordan Era

substitute 'true freshman' for 'FSU 2nd stringer' and you've got bama's sh*tty QB situation.

Mason didn't have another first rounder he shared the backfield with
