Ugh that first play was pretty bad for La'el. Jordan Jefferson would have thrown a pick six there. Aj is a considerable step up.

You must not have watched a lot of the games last year. It doesn't show up on the stat sheet all the time. There were a lot of sacks and TFL by the team that happened because Myles was taking on double teams or keeping his side contained. He was dominant. If all you are looking at is the number of sacks he had then you don't know football very well.
To put it in a way you will understand, Garrett had more tackles, TFL and sacks as a true freshman (and didn't play 1.5 games due to injury), than either Mingo or Montgomery had as juniors and y'all crown those two as the epitome of what a college DE should be (and rightly so, as those guys are great).

College football "freaks" who are better than any defensive player that has ever walked through the tunnel in Tiger Stadium don't get to whine about being freshmen.
And actually it was a running play to his right. Good technique dictates that you don't want to push the defender toward the play.....until you want to make him your bitch.
