1966 Alabama was screwed out of the national championship because of race relations.

Because it was in the major poll era.

Why doesn't Bama just claim this like they do with about 5 other unearned titles?

Didn't win either major poll.

Meh, should have lost to an injury riddled shitty Alabama team.

"Ole Miss 2015"

Memphis and Arkansas both are having Co-Champion banners made for their stadium now. Sorry, thanks for playing......

The 2004 Auburn team barely escaped Tuscaloosa with a victory over a shitty, injury-riddled Alabama squad.

The 2004 Auburn team did beat a handful of top 25 and bowl teams, however (using final rankings):
#16 LSU
#13 Tennessee
#7 Georgia
#10 Virginia Tech

1939 Tennessee...last team to go unscored on in regular season. If George Cafego hadn't gotten injured before the Rose Bowl...they would have had two consecutive undefeated seasons.

We'll look back and say our 2015 squad was a talented one, too.

Friggin' Freeze going all dimwitted against Memphis.

1966 Alabama and 2004 Auburn should top the list, being as both were undefeated and got robbed.

Three other teams may not agree. Remember Memphis? That's one of them.

I know, I know post the LSU score.

To YOU DON"T KNOW BRO. '03, Y'all got the cute banner for that one right????

Every great team has a game in which they inexplicably struggled against a weaker opponent. And it happens more often in rivalry games than others.

The 2009 Alabama team that went unbeaten and won the National Title also barely beat a pretty bad Auburn.

No matter who wins the National Title this season will also have a game like that.

This year's Alabama team barely beat a very mediocre Tennessee squad at home. This year's Clemson team barely beat Louisville. This year's Oklahoma team DID LOSE to a poor Texas team. Iowa struggled against Pitt and Minnesota. And Michigan State DID lose to a very bad Nebraska team.

Agreed. Those are the Top 2.

The next ones would be 1982 Georgia, 1995 Florida, and 1983 Auburn to round out the Top 5.

USC would have beaten Auburn by at least thirty points.
