You realize it is like this at every major university and even Houston, right?

I'm a dumbass and wrong, you should easily be able to show that Saban and Miles did not have mediocre records as HC and were in fact the hot name at the time of the high just like Herman is the hot name now.

They were both well above average at schools that are the "little brother" in the state schools they were coaching at (Mich St. and Okie St.).

If Herman or any other "hot" name is not available, or turn down the job, LSU will just have to hire another mediocre coach and hope they do as well as the past two schlubs we hired (2 BCS Titles and 4 SEC Titles combined). LULZ...moron

The only problem I have with you is that you are a Hog fan and it's beyond hilarious that you would lecture LSU fans about coaching hires (Nutt, Petrino, Smith).

You got lucky and hired a very good coach in Bert and I think he is currently tied with Curly Hallman (7-17) in SEC play.

Arky has been in the SEC over 2 decades and has as many SEC Titles as Sewanee and Vandy(ZERO).
Tulane has 3 SEC Titles.
Can you at least pass up Sewanee and Vandy before you lecture us about coaching hires? Thanks.

LSU admins seem to be trying every back door they can to get rid of Miles. Good coaches see this, it's why Auburn's post-Tubs hires have been out the door quickly. A fair-weather fanbase with fairweather admins does not make a recipe for a stable program that a good football coach aims to build

Most CFB wins in last 11 years

1. Boise State — 122 wins
1. Ohio State — 122 wins
3. Alabama — 121 wins
4. Oregon — 115 wins
5. LSU — 112 wins

If usc or Texas opens LSU won't have a shot in hell of landing Herman. Those are dream jobs in the coaching profession.
The LSU job is a dream job to LSU fans.

The biggest draw that LSU possesses is the fact it locks up its state recruiting every year that has incredible talent AND he will be in close vicinity to the Houston area recruiting grounds that he is already dominating at UH.

Downside? His boss would be a moron.

Ok, so I misread that. But I still fail to see your point in bringing up Ferentz.

You said Saban was basically a nobody, a mediocre coach at Michigan State that LSU got lucky with, I proved you wrong by stating that nfl teams were after him when LSU hired him LINK

Because LSU is incapable of hiring a coach worth a shite, right?

You throw out Ferentz in defense, what does one have to do with the other? You've been owned in this thread, just accept it and go to bed you fricking dumbass

This is exactly not what I said.

Reading Comprehension, ask a friend.

Saban had a mediocre record while at Michigan State.

He was not the hot up and comer like Herman is today.

I don't care who the hot names everyone wanted in 2000 and 2005 were, it doesn't matter LSU wasn't able to hire them just as they will not be able to lure Herman away from Houston.

This is true of every coach in the country.

LSU is so worried about Bama they should just offer Saban the job, kill two birds with one stone.

Then go hire Dinardo, he's the coach Michigan State has that everyone wants, he would leave to restore glory to his Alma Mater, but he would jump at the chance to coach LSU.
