The SEC East is Georgia and the six dwarfs. The West has four potential top 10 teams (Alabama, LSU, Texas A&M and Auburn).

Those opposing realignment will say that it's cyclical and that things will change. They have been saying that for years now and I don't see anything changing for the foreseeable future.

Missouri. Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Tennessee and South Carolina will never contend for the conference championship. It's a joke when a team like Missouri represents the SEC in the conference championship game when they couldn't finish in the top four in the West.

By putting Auburn in the East. It's simple, really

We need vandy. They bring education and baseball. Kentucky brings basketball. I love Carolina bbq. Let’s trade Tennessee for Virginia and we can just give away missouri

Switch Mizzou and Vandy for Bama and Auburn.

Vandy is further west than Auburn, and Mizzou is further west than both of them.

That being said, those games would be boring as shaw.

Mizzou is neither south or east.
Kick out Mizzou and pick up Clemson (they wouldn’t join bc they scared and got an easy schedule in the acc)
Drop Tennessee and pick up Georgia state.
Drop South Carolina and pick up the Tar Heels.
Didn’t the big ten used to flip divisions every year with the leaders and legends? Maybe we should try that.

Florida and Tennessee aren’t pulling their weight and it’s been a loooong “cycle.”

Yeah I have no clue why auburn and Missouri don’t switch. It makes the most sense geographically and in terms of balanced divisions

Florida will eventually be good again so the East will have two contenders.

The west only ever has two contenders in a single season anyway.

Basically, the West has a middle class that the East lacks right now.

I wouldn’t trade playing Auburn and Alabama for Vandy and Mizzou on my own life. Those are two of our biggest rivals and those games are consistently incredible for both all teams involved. LSU’s yearly schedule at that point would be

Ole Miss
Mississippi State
TAMU
Florida
Vandy
Mizzou
Arkansas
Sec East rotating (Alabama or auburn 1/3 of the time)

That’s 4 teams that are more often bad than they are good, a consistently 7-9 TAMU team and a consistent power in Florida. Now our rotating game because more consistently good as it’d rotate between auburn Alabama Tennessee Georgia Kentucky and South Carolina but still that’s only one game against each per 6 years. LSU ultimately loses in this scenario I would think because over time they’d grow soft with their division. See the Big 10 west.

No thanks. I want to play the best and get my money’s worth.

We should keep Aggy, big money and Texas pipeline. We should dump Arky instead.

The bat signal for the (admittedly small) "pods" argument just went off!

4, 4-team pods. 9 conference games. Play each team in your pod every year, and six more conference games. This rotation would allow everyone to play the entire conference every two years. Top 2 teams to the Conf championship

Well, considering that UGA should play 3 of the 4 you mentioned this year.......probably not necessary.

I'm sure you'd like that trade. Then it's even more unbalanced than it is now, especially when Florida is good. You'd have 5 of the Big 6 in the East, and the West would be LSU and the 6 dwarves

That would be the only hope A&M ever has of winning the West

Realignment aside, I've always from day one thought Missouri a bad fit for the SEC, both geographically and culturally. Poor fan base as far as rabidness, following on road, tailgating, etc.
