I wasn't bashing Kentucky. Just the timing. It would have been nice to go up there on a free day and experience your campus. I guess I just don't mix work with pleasure. And Thursday is definitely a work day for me. Weekends though...

The LSU @ A&M game wasn't postponed

Now that there is a Thursday night NFL game every week I don't really care if there is a Thur night SEC game.

the only recent game we have had postponed to a later date b/c of "weather" was the one against La Tech in 2012.

while its true that it was supposed to be a Thursday game, it was also supposed to help kick off the CFB season.

Do you mean Tennessee will never play one in the future? You have in the past, and that was when they were actually good.

I'm having trouble remembering any regular season games UT played on Thursdays. They did play the Chick-fil-a kickoff classic...but that was on a Friday. Help refresh my memory.

Same here - I just want something to watch/bet on, and now the NFL provides that on Thursday nights.

No possible way this could happen at LSU. They'd have to close campus on that day.

As long as its a road game that's worthwhile, I have no issues with it. Gives you something to break up the week and lets you watch all the games Saturday (hopefully with a W under your belt). With every Saturday game on TV these days, playing prime time on Thurs is better exposure then playing on ESPN the Ocho at noon.

If it was a big enough game, they would.

It's at the discretion of the home team. Who you are has nothing to do with it. State loves Thursday night games because of the exposure. Next time ButtChug U comes to Starkville and State wants that game moved to a Thursday you will have no say so in it.

Played Ole Miss in Memphis. ESPN made a deal of it since Peyton was playing.

Not a big fan of it either, but since Auburn comes here on a Thursday, I'm not gonna gripe too much. Beats the alternative of having to drive there mid-week.

I don't mind them as much when they are a Kickoff style game and it's 1 SEC team playing playing an OOC opponent. Those games get hyped and are good exposure. Even better when it's the only CFB game on - that one I kinda like. Otherwise I don't like them at all.

I'm pretty sure USC and notre dame play the weekend of that Kentucky game, it would be cool to go to the uk game and then drive up and watch that game

Didn't y'all play a Thursday game in a hurricane back in '03. I wanted to watch that game, but we had already lost power by that point.
