LSU’s new plan involves reconfiguring seating areas in the South end zone so that visiting bands may take a more direct route to the field

So all they had to do was reconfigure a few seats. Problem solved.

Makes you wonder why they were too stupid to just do that in the first place.

This will allow tMDB to play Rammar Jammer really loud when the clock says 0:00.

Oh please. My gf's brother is in the MDB and never felt afraid for his safety at LSU.

A band mother is the most protective species in nature...far more vicious than a mama bear protecting her cubs.

Seems like they could have just come up with a solution to the safety concern first, before calling for a halftime performance ban.

It looks like the outside pressure forced the LSU AD to come up with a real solution.

Glad to see that the LSU AD finally came to their senses.

We'll see if they still decide to have lame 90s pop bands as the halftime entertainment though...

Sorry. I am a nitwit.
I still don't get the alleged "safety" issue.
There are a few hundred extra people on the area adjacent to the field.
There are 100,000 in the stands.
What dangerous incremental safety dangers are introduced by moving a couple of hundreds to the field area, while removing AT LEAST that many from the same area into the locker rooms ( the football teams)?

I'be never seen any game where the visiting band performed AFTER the home band.
