First the REC go to Aaron Suttles and now Shannon Terry to put out this bogus propaganda. We all know Thompson's dream job was to coach at AU and Gus finally made the call.

I most certainly can believe the melt. Not necessarily because of how much it would negatively impact bammer but because of how much it could positively impact Auburn. It shouldn't be hard for maybe the best recruiter in college football to recruit at a school that has already played for the national championship twice in the last 4 years and has maybe the best offensive coach in college football as their head coach

Was I in a cave the last 3 years, I thought Auburn had been recruiting at a pretty elite level for a while now.

You keep calling him that. But I think at least four Alabama staff members have had that designation.

so again

so why don't these people with these crazy connections actually do their fricking jobs and provide the information when they hear it to their paying customers?

rather than act like they know all after news breaks

No one has given a motive for Saban's actions with Lance.

Can someone give a reason here? He clearly is a great recruiter and a good LB coach. Why did Saban ask him to leave?

Hell, I want him at Auburn more than I want him at Bama. This is no great loss, in fact I was surprised when Saban took him back. Is he going to build another wall?

I know if given the choice of coaching LB's at Bama or AU, I'd pick AU every time..............

I'm not a huge Lucky fan but he posted 4 really long posts about coaching stuff over the Holidays with tons of information in it. I don't know if all of this is true but it seems really silly to risk being made to look like a homer liar over something as small as a Linebacker Coach leaving, doesn't it? That'd just be dumb.

It's a good question. I'm not sure if it renders Terry's information unreliable (him being a homer does that moreso), but it is annoying for subscribers and certainly calls into question the positioning of those sites.

He is not a good LB coach. He is at best a mediocre LB coach. He is an elite recruiter.

The issues at LB in the past 2 years would be the probable reason he was asked to find something else.
