No, actually I had not read it when I made the OP, but when I saw your post, I went to their website and read it and can see how the point I was making and the point the author of the article was making are pretty much the same.
Maybe I should be writing for the Atlantic?

There is proof that homosexuality is not a choice. Genetically, the debate is still unsettled but it's becoming apparent there are no "gay genes." Epigenetically, however, research is leading to a clear "cause" for homosexuality. "...epigenetic influences acting on androgen signaling in the brain may underlie sexual orientation." Something similar may cause handiness.
The clearest proof, not including the obvious - testimonies of homosexuals themselves, is demographics. There are gay people, male and female, in every society, culture and subculture on earth. Any differences in its percentage of expression depends on whether or not a group suppresses it.
Homosexuality is a part of the human condition. It is normal and non-pathogenic. There are many sexual orientations, some of which are pathogenic to societies, such as pedophilia, but most are not.
We should spend our time weeding out those who have pathogenic sexual orientations rather than attempting to suppress those who can contribute to society.

Yeah, the victim card... If anything negative ever happens to him, it's already set up that its not his fault - some hater did it to him.
If he didn't want to be a victim he wouldn't have set it up in such a staged manner.
