Would State fans turn in all those "supplemental redneck noise makers" for just ONE win over LSU in their lifetime?

No.

Fact of the matter is, if they were allowed to use cowbells then these other fan bases would do it in a heartbeat.

Uhm, no.

And we won't wave pom poms either.

Actually just got from Nashville and I can gladly report I rang mine so much I deformed it. It has bulges on all four corners now. The clanged knocked the frick out of it. It was chrome one and evidently they are made to look at more than ring. If you think it was loud on TV you should been in the stadium.

You should have heard me when they missed the extra point and passed up the field goal at the end of the half. The spread was 6 1/2.

My belief is that many of the good people of Mississippi are well armed also. As for me, I was trained by the military and consider myself an excellent shot.

Working for the Salvation Army isn't really an Army.

Hey now, the Salvation Army is huge! They have 2 soldiers at every Wal Mart in Ms! Plus, if you live in Ms, have you seen where the headquarters in Jackson is located? You know they have to be armed at all ties!

What's going on up in here. My cowbell lost it's testicle during the after game debauchery.

It's a tradition that was started at MSU years ago, just like any other schools tradition we cherish it. The SEC prides itself on it's schools having tradition so I don't see how it is embarrassing.

I'm sorry it annoys you. Some redneck screaming "roll damn tide" annoys the frick out of me, but you know what? I put up with it without bitching like a little girl.

Embarrassing is Bama's obsession and near worship of one man (Bear). Embarrassing is Auburn throwing toilet paper in trees to celebrate victory. Embarrassing is Ole Miss saying "hotty toddy" (really wtf is up with hotly toddy).

You could make a case for a lot of traditional things being dumb or embarrassing, but it's each schools own tradition that makes us unique and we pride ourselves on that. So STFU and quit whining like a little bitch

i turned on the TV and heard the cowbells and thought something was either wrong with my TV or their station. then i saw it was mississippi state playing and realized what the it was the devices that produce the sound of nancy pelosi singing.

I'm a LSU fan and just got back from Nashville to support the Dawgs. although I'm not a big fan of the cowbell, it was only rung during key moments of the game. It's not as bad as Rocky Top IMO.

it's also not nearly as bad as the group of Bama fans screaming "f*ck you LSU" over and over again at female passerby wearing a LSU cap on Broadway Street.

other note..Wake Forest fans were very few but they were loud. they had a bout 20 band members but they were rocking. i was impressed
