The lengths they go to to hold onto a sliver off hope is so amusing. Barney's lawyer must not know they the NCAA already heard the tape and disregarded it as anything damning. It's like a little kid going around shooting people with a stick. They are pretending it is something of value or something dangerous when it's just a damn stick
The NCAA can't subpoena phone companies to release records not are they about to. Nor are they about to bring in voice recognition specialists to determine they have a recording of a kid going around saying "bang bang"

For the purposes of the Ole Miss case, the NCAA will only be concerned gathering more ammunition to pummel them. The Leo Lewis interview is a minor part of their case. They have plenty without it.
If other teams cheated and are implicated, then they will have to deal with it in a separate investigation.

we aren't trying to protect them. that is the big difference... quay got cut because he didn't go to class. We take pride in not fabricating grades and act scores. Those 2 kids went to prison... as they should have. Has nothing to do with athletics. If you want to bring up dirt there are plenty of lawyers in prison that are donors to your school that i can bring up and books written about them but i shall not mention there names because it has zero to do with athletics. Unless they are one of the unnamed boosters suing to keep their name redacted which very well could be the case considering a certain lawyer flew in to the job interview on that lawyers private jet.
