I was pulling for Aggie to win though. Y'all have had a tough stretch. And my best friend is an Aggie

ETA: And Tbird and I ate lunch yesterday. What a cool dude.

Bama winning a title every other year doesn't help aggy recruit at all

Sure it does. It keeps the SEC nationally relevant, which is really our second best selling point (behind all our recent high draft picks).

Our brand was shite before the SEC came along, so we are now tied to the fate of the SEC brand good or bad.

No it doesn't. You can conjure up whatever you want in your head to make you feel better about Bama winning all of their games, but it doesn't mean it's right. It's actually quite stupid.

You were a better Aggie fan than me that day then. I assumed we would lose to KSU.

We didn't beat a Power 5 team after our first loss he year. That is faling apart in an epic fashion.

My God man, you are a 50K student Texas university with a bankroll gifted by The Alpha & Omega above, have a 100K stadium, and have a populace that puts out NFLers by the bucket..act like it damn it!

Lsu already has that sec prestige as a recruiting tool. When your primary recruiting competition is bama and winning a title damn near every year it hurts your recruiting against them. This is why the op is stupid. It's very logical why bama can root for us but not vice versa

You want to explain yourself a little better than "you are wrong and stupid?" I know you hate wordy answers but you just used a lot of words to say jack squat.

Because I can dig up quotes from the recruits who say us being in the SEC was a big deal to them. Or I can just point to the massive improvement we had had in recruiting since the SEC move.

No one else is carrying the SEC banner right now, but currently we have one of the best classes in the state despite Sumlin's hot seat. That means Bama has done well carrying the banner recently when no one else is. So Roll Tide.

The state of Texas has one national title the last forty years. The states of Nebraska, Louisiana, Alabama, Indiana, and Florida all have more. It is really overrated overall.

Everything you listed is not what makes A&M special.

Reading your title and thread makes me think they don't teach the definition of irony in Bama.

For every quote you have, I can counter with a recruit who chose Bama over TAMU, LSU, AU, etc because they are the best program in the country.

Getting your arse beat year in and year out by a conference foe isn't helping you recruit. It is amazing I had to type that out. Again, it's a dumb line of thinking. I'm sorry you don't like hearing the truth.

Has nothing to do with Bama cirrent run. The SEC was considered the best conference beginning in 2006 when UF and LSU were contenders as well.

Not to mention getting away from UT

An impressive young man. We compared some notes on the insanity of TD. And we did some fatherly talk since his dad is only two years older than me. First TDer I have ever (knowingly) met IRL.
