The last time I really rooted for a SEC team in a bowl game was LSU against Ohio State in 2007. That was back during a time when ESPN had a perpetual hard-on for the Big 10 and USC and SEC teams never got the benefit of the doubt. That's no longer the case anymore especially with the CFB Playoff system in place. I really don't give a shite how SEC teams do out-of-conference outside of Bama.

I am not insecure about Bama. They are a great program. The gold standard of college football.

Most LSU fans I know are pulling for Bama. Maybe not trash talkers on an SEC board with a high number of LSU fans. Some LSU fans think every Bama loss helps them recruit against Bama. I think there is some validity in that argument. I am ok with them and the rest of the country hating on Bama. That is best compliment a team can get. I know I used to hate on Miami, Nebraska, FSU, and USC with their sweet runs back in the day. Sure, most Bama fans pull for the SEC teams against ooc competition. It is much easier to do when you are on top, however.
