Is that most Bama fans probably want LSU to win their bowl. It makes the conference look better, and they don't feel insecure about LSU's success.
For the record I am an A&M fan but I hope LSU wins it's Bowl because I think Louisville is the most amoral athletic department of all time (barely beating out Baylor and Penn State). Honestly though even if LSU was playing someone else I would still root for them to win because I can respect their success.

With that said, it is also asinine to think any one team winning 62.5% of the last 8 Natty Titles will be a good thing for the health of the sport.

Oklahoma is a top five program all-time and Texas probably has the best brand in college football value-wise.
