I don't see what's so wrong with the Met. I was there Wednesday and thought it was a nice park, lots of concession stands, and adequate restrooms. Field looked great. I could understand rotating the venue, though...

The location. Bland, suburban ballpark with one road in, and one road out. I've lived in Bham for 15 years and enjoy college baseball and have never been to a SEC Tourney game there. I'd go to several of them at Regions Field, though.

when I go to a BB game i go to watch the game and not bitch about chit that people like you and others bitch about. NOw if it was in the hood where I had to park with gang bangers then I would have a problem. otherwise you whiners STFU and go take in a game.

This is the typical rant mindset. Very few of you have actually been to an SEC tourney game at the Met. The field looks fantastic. Access to the park is great. Lodging in the area is very affordable. There is no reason to move the tourney. Most of you like to bitch for no logical reason.

Correct answer is:
New Orleans and SEC Baseball tourney I'm all about that. If you cant have fun during that week, well I don't know what to tell ya.

While I do agree with OP, do people not realize at this point that this is the most started thread in the history of the rant? We literally have this thread three to four times during the tournament and 100's of other times in between.

I agree. I'm just telling you what their reasoning was in the press. Hoover sweetened the pot a lot. The Met is the HS teams field now since the Barons moved to Regions. Bama used it this year while their remodel is going on. There are more than 1500 for all the LSU games. More like 4000 for mid week games. The finals sell tickets. Ole miss Miss st was packed. LSU always brings it. If Bama and auburn were consistently good, they'd sell a lot.

It should move to Regions field. It was voted the third best minor league park in the country.
Did you see #2 on that list... just saying.

Then your opinion doesn't count.
Eta: Regions Park would get my vote if it were to move

Don't mistake my comment for whining. If I really wanted to go to a game at the Met, I would. More times than not though, I just have better things to do. I really couldn't care less where they play the tourney. Someone stated they didn't see the problem with the Met, and I gave my problems with it.
If it were at Regions I could grab lunch or dinner somewhere cool near the park, grab a beer or two at Good People before or after the game, and do that without having to get back in the car until it was time to go home. The Met, you park, go to the game, get back in the car to go home or grab something to eat at a strip mall chain restaurant. It's just not appealing to me. If it is to you, great. Go have fun.

Is there a venue in the SEC footprint that supports college baseball? If so, that's where it should be. The empty seats in Hoover are embarrassing.

why not?
Take it to the fans. Sure baumhowers will lose some business from jorts wearing weirdos, but I think it's a sacrifice that needs to be made.

I've been 5 times. It sucks.
