There were a total of 50 players taken in the NFL draft that were on the two deep of both rosters during the "Game of the Century".

Alabama with 28
LSU with 22

What an absurd amount of talent those teams had.

That's very interesting.

That may break the record set for the 98 MNC game between FSU and UT.

LINK

"Still, the Alabama-LSU games will fall short to the ultimate title game filled with NFL talent: Ohio State-Miami at the Fiesta Bowl for the 2003 BCS Championship, which closed the 2002 season. On that night at Sun Devil Stadium, 52 future NFL draft picks saw the field, 37 of which were starters. Plus, 18 players from that game went in the first round."

Of course Alabama would have their greatest team in the Nick Saban era in the same season LSU has their greatest team in the Les Miles era..only to beat the crap out of us and ruin our prefect season in the National Championship game.

Much Respect.

The crazy part is that Arkansas was a top 5 team that year and got bitch slapped by both.

The only close games either played were against each other.

I am glad that Bama fans are giving that 2011 LSU team respect. I said a thousand times that running that team down only diminished Alabama.
