re: Everybody loves Red Beans and Rice
Posted by Bear Is Dead on 4/2/22 at 4:53 pm
Those type of “shelling beans” are much more popular in the north, because their growing season is so short. Those folks put up the dried beans so they have something that outlasts their growing season.
Down here, we have such a great growing time period for fresh style beans ie pole beans, and ...
re: How do ya'll feel overall about the future of the Saints, over the next 2-3 years?
Posted by Bear Is Dead on 5/2/21 at 6:40 pm
IF Winston plays like an all pro, we could see 10 wins max.
Our QB play last season was way less than all-pro and we won the division, beat the eventual world champions twice.
If Winston is all-pro, meaning he’s the best QB in the conference, the Saints will win the division for ...
re: Alvin Kamara’s first 1,000 yard rushing season

Alvin Kamara could be the MVP of the league and still not rush for 1,000 yds. ...

This will crash and burn. If you ever wanted to know who owns congress, you’ll find out when this legislation shows up DOA. ...
re: Roux separated on me again. Past 2 times it has separated. Help
Posted by Bear Is Dead on 2/15/21 at 10:23 am
I’d say your cold stock and adding all the stock at once is the issue. Typically, I will add only 10% or so at a time until it boils.
Funny though, when you look back at old school Cajun recipes, those folks add their finished hot roux into the boiling stock, whereas nowadays we add the stock to...

re: Saints' challenge just got tougher
Posted by Bear Is Dead on 1/17/21 at 11:23 am
If you completely ignored the whole “3 times in a row” storyline, this game is easily in the saints favor. Brady and the bucs got really hot playing against terrible teams. When they played good teams, they have been mediocre to bad. ...
re: We need CJGC to get in Antonio Brown’s head today
Posted by Bear Is Dead on 1/17/21 at 11:18 am
Everyone is talking about how great AB has been in the last five games, but he’s gone against mostly dogshit. CJGJ is a way better slot defender that any of those other Jake-legs. I think brown has some success, but will be his worst game of the 6 game stretch ...

Posted by Bear Is Dead on 12/27/20 at 11:14 am
Yea I’m not arguing the decisions of run or don’t run. My point was that in a win or go home situation, Kamara is the 2nd best player in the NFC playoffs. Find any way you can to get him the ball. ...
re: We need to run Kamara more to win the SB and the Stats Back it Up
Posted by Bear Is Dead on 12/27/20 at 11:02 am
I’m not gonna say they need to run kamara 20 times/game, but they absolutely need to let him touch the ball 20+ Times/game. He’ll be the best player on the field in every single playoff matchup before the Super Bowl except maybe Aaron Rodgers.
Payton played it the right way, don’t wear him out, ...

re: Interesting look at what Rasmussen considers SWING states. Polling begins next week
Posted by Bear Is Dead on 8/21/20 at 12:13 pm
Technically they are swing if the margin of victory is expected to be less than 5%, which it could be for all of those states. However, New Hampshire should be considered swing as well, if that’s the metric they are using. ...

If that’s accurate, this thing is over. Winning MN is a tremendous shift.
Hard for me to believe MN is tied but FL is still toss-up. Those demographics are way different. ...
re: If elections were held today, Biden would annihilate Trump
Posted by Bear Is Dead on 8/16/20 at 9:42 am
Today, the president loses. But this year is pretty different. The political process in the next couple months will really get the voters in the battleground states to analyze the candidates, particularly Biden. From everything we’ve seen, Biden will be worse than HRC on a debate stage.
Biden wi...
re: So Tucker is talking about the slave camps in China that make iPhones and Nike shoes.
Posted by Bear Is Dead on 7/21/20 at 8:52 pm
It’s not just Nike and apple. A lot of agriculture in China is slave or prison labor. China is the largest grower of rice in the world, child labor and slave labor being very prevalent.
Peeled garlic production is big business in China, where prison labor is used until their hands are so raw the...
