Any fifth year seniors this upcoming season who get drafted next year were on those teams too.

The only close games either played were against each other.

Was just about to post this.

Bama beat:
Kent State by 41
Penn St by 16 @ Happy Valley
NT by 41
Arkansas by 24
Florida by 28 @ Gainesville
Vandy by 34
Ole Miss by 45 @ Oxford
Tennessee by 31
MSU by 17 @ Starkville
Georgia Southern by 24 (Georgia Southern scored the most points against Bama this year, 21)
Auburn by 28 @ Jordan-Hare
LSU by 21 @ the Superdome

LSU beat:
Pac 12 champ Oregon by 13 @ Dallas
NW State by 46
MSU by 13 @ Davis Wade
Big East champ West Virginia by 26 @ Morgantown
UK by 28
Florida by 30
Tennessee by 31 @ Knoxville
Auburn by 35
Bama by 3 @ Tuscaloosa
WKU by 31
Arkansas by 24
Georgia by 32 @ Atlanta

to those teams. Sucks for us that we had to share that season with Bama. I think the defenses were about equal, Bama had a better stable of RBs, a strong OL and a QB who stepped up and played an incredible game in that championship.

ETA I will give MSU some props because our game was tight going into the 4th quarter.

Still not the SEC record of players drafted from a single game though.

What game would that be? >50 drafted players from any game is outrageous.

According to this article, the Miami-OSU title game has the record with 52 players drafted.

That article also says there were only 45 taken from the 9-6 game. My guess is there may have been some draftees who suited up but didn't actually play in the game

Google it. I found a couple of references to it, one tweet from sportingnews. It is documented more thoroughly in Pat Dyes in the arena. Also 10 or 12 all sec players in 1983 alone on the rosters including all time greats Wilbur Marshall and Bo Jackson.

It's been discussed in articles through the years, one from the Orlando sentinel that documents it. I've known about it for about 15 years.

On phone now, but will search for something later.

I see what is going on here. That article that has 45 is the number that played in the game. Appears 50 was the total number drafted from the rosters.

AU-UF was the total from the rosters of 51.

1987 FSU-Miami had 57 total from both rosters drafted.

Here is a link to a twitter discussion with Matt hayes.

I feel a little better about Auburn losing the BCSNCG to FSU now that 18 FSU players from that game have been drafted with at least five more being locks for next year's draft.

Jimbo has helped himself to some talent

Last 2 players to win NFL OROY were also on those teams. Lacy and OBJ.

It's going to be hard to beat the 12 round draft years.
You would have to out signed UFAs to get a true comparison.
