He picked three bars "on Dickson" that are all clustered right together. Two of them share a wall, and the other is right across the street from the other two. None are "on Dickson Street" technically. They're on Watson & West.

I have no idea if those bars are good or not because I haven't been in any of the three in years.

I wonder how he compiled this list. Yahoo reviews?

Sky Bar changed my life

Same here. I went last year and left with my jaw on the floor. It's amazing a bar like that exists in a small town like Auburn.

OAN: Why do people thing Pavs is a good bar? I used to think Five points was the greatest thing in the world but after traveling around this beautiful country for three years since undergrad I now realized that most of the bars out there suck just like bro-country music.

The article lied. Pinch is decent. Delayney's is okay, not rowdy though. I think my taste have outgrown Five points. I now favor the Vista, and I think Social is a kick arse nightclub if you like EDM and Hip Hop. All of the good bars are being built in the Vista now anyway.

So I take it you haven't been to Reggie's?

Bogies is the best bar near LSU, but that's really not saying much. Tigerland is trashy. On the north gate, there's pretty much just The Chimes/Varsity and Barcadia, which are both really just restaurants.

Agreed. Bogie's is by far the best of the bunch. Fred's is good too. The rest are for freshmen, GDIs, and BRCC trash

Yeah I agree. 2014 LSU game at Sky bar was by far the best night I've ever had going to a bar. I would pay money to get something like sky bar at lsu. Me and my friends were in awe

I agree with the choice he made for CoMo. Harpos.

But the dude apparently knows nothing, nor has he been to Columbia MO.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone who has ever been in Missouri promote CoMo as a "club scene". "Lack of bars"...uhhh....good luck with that assessment.

Spencer obviously has never been to Columbia MO....and I think it is funny that he used a photo from before the bar was renovated in the 1990's. Not to mention the misinformation.

Not sure how Grub's in Fayetteville could be left off his list. Z Bar is a lot of fun, but Grub's is the definition of a great college bar.

Granted I've never been to Skybar, but is it different than when it used to be Blue Room? Because that place sucked.

the backyard used to be Fitzwilly's

RIP Fitz's. Had my first drink in a bar there at the ripe old age of 16 at my brother's 21st birthday.

Isn't Skybar the place where all of Duke William's problems began?

You ever get the feeling every bar on this list is better than Bogie's?

(Ignore my flair)
LSUs bars are all the same, Bogies and Freds are frankly the only places to go out. Downtown fricking blows. We need a strip with actual solid bars.

sky bar is bigger then any bar I've ever been to. Thats what makes that bar so unique.

Loved the Vault in Auburn too, heard it was closing though. Any rumors to that?

As someone who has never really been a bar person, what was so great about Sky Bar?

I think it got shut down over a fraternity hazing incident, but I had a blast in some bar in BR the night before the 96 Bama game. Forget the name of it. It was in a shopping center.

Is it George's that's under the overpass? That place was a pretty good dive bar. Chelsea's sounds familiar as well. Is it or did it used to be near a Winn Dixie or some other store? Think we ate lunch there before the 96 Bama game.

I don't know. City design maybe? Seems easier to get both the strip and downtown/temerson square. Downtown is not really convenient to LSU's campus, so you really only have Tigerland. Plus all the bars seem exactly the same to me, whereas th Tuscaloosa bars all seem to have their own character.

I see. Ive been to LSU 4 times but have really only been out once. I honestly dont remember the bar we went to but it was big and a pretty decent time.

Tuscaloosa does have a lot of bars. I also like the breweries and the craft beer place Loosa Brews(closes early). Alcove is also a higher end bar worth checking out as well.
