So thats a no, A&M doesn't travel to play the smaller texas schools (other than SMU because it's Dallas, which is like us playing at Memphis)

USM will play other SEC schools without having them come to USM. They won't do that for State or Ole Miss though. And I'm glad Ole Miss tells them to go frick themselves on that end.

When LSU, plays in-state schools, it's Tiger Stadium or else. The upside for the instate schools is, they make more money traveling to Tiger Stadium than if they played LSU in their home stadiums.

I'm sure that's true of Ole Miss, as well. And Texas A&M.

About 10-15 years ago USM was the 2nd largest school in the state after MSU. I believe they were the most successful football program in the state as well during the 1980's.

LSU does travel to play in-state schools in other sports. LSU baseball just played Nicholls State at Ray E. Didier Field in Thibodaux, LA. Game was sold out weeks prior to. Capacity 1,800. Actual Attendance: 3,698.

Yes I have been to both of the stadiums. Yes Ole Miss stadium has larger capacity. Don't give me some aerial view to compare.

And USM has nice tailgating proximate to the stadium as well.

When was the last time you were in Hattiesburg?

Okay how about numbers...VHS has about twice the capacity, and also twice the number of premium seats.

I toured the USM campus a couple of times on my drives to visit a college girlfriend at her parent's place.

I don't even want to -think- about how long ago that was.

Almost all the Ole Miss / USM games have been either in Oxford or Jackson.

How would you... a "Texas AM fan" know this.

your obsession with ole miss and knowledge of odd facts make it clear.

50% of your posts are about Ole miss. Runt

But your school embodies the liberal mantra which includes wealth redistribution. Hey - need to let that trickle down to Hattiesburg. Help a fellow out!

With all of the annual Big 12 expansion talks heating up again, seems that the athletic director of Southern Miss is attending the AAC basketball tournament. How do Ole Miss and Miss State fans feel about the possibility of USM getting an opportunity to be in a better conference?

Are you fricking retarded?

I hate that pussy attitude.."we gain nothing from playing them, if we beat them blah blah, if we lose blah blah"

Just line up in front of em and bust their asses..if you lose it wouldn't be the first time Ole Miss has lost.

Say what you want about Bama and LSU but I applaud them for not being scared to schedule anyone

Ole Miss has no reason to play Southern. MSU was dumb to do it also. It's no win for them.

Southern can do a 2 for 1 it's just like aTm and SMU only reason that series was played because of Dallas, aTm needed SMU more than SMU needed aTm for that reason.

Now the Arkansas game is in Dallas aTm doesn't need or want the SMU game. aTm will drop SMU for UTSA soon I think and it would be smart.
