Pretty good, it gave us access to a chunk of Texas's birthright which now makes us the richest SEC team.
How does it feel to know Texas and Rice got us that AAU membership, only for us to turn around and use it to get an unilateral invite to the SEC?

We took a piece of your birthright of endowment, and mixed that with the gift of AAU (that Texas did to make the Big 12 look better but whatever), and used that to gain access to a league that used our entrance as a chance to steal Texas's other birthright (aka local talent).We are basically like the brother that you kicked out of the house because your wife said so, so we took all your best shite out of the house while you were sleeping and pawned it.

Well I'm glad that we made it possible for you to improve. Apparently it was something A&M couldn't have accomplished without the help of Rice & UT (both longtime members of AAU).

So far, all you've done is move from 1 conference to another. You left a lot of trophies & championships behind. And you took our former coach's nickname too - "Coach February".

To tell you the truth, I'm just happy we made a bowl game for the extra practice time. Texas fans have to be patient with Strong, because his process is slowed by all the suspensions, but I have full confidence that the man knows exactly what he is doing.
Here's to a good old fashioned Hog-Horn slugfest.

Truth - we've had a pretty hard couple of years - being bowl eligible was a bit unexpected

I don't know many actual horn grads that believe he won't be a bust and out in 3 years. Most see 7-8 wins a year until he goes.

Well, the ones you know may be the ones who suffer Aggies, because most of the ones I know are pretty pumped, realized that the old alumni lost a lot of credibility in criticizing the hire. Strong is going to get more leeway than most. The house cleaning he did gained him a good deal of respect. Probably a tad too much in my book. I think he gets away with 7 or 8 wins the next year or two as well, but then he starts winning more.

Thanks to SEC (read:Bama) math we picked up two national titles. Thanks to SEC (again Bama) hype we have added another Heisman. Oh and the committee just said that neither Baylor nor TCU even get a chance to add real modern hardware, so there goes that mid-00s Tech nip at our toes problem.
Once the pigs destroy Texas (IMHO) we will have an easier recruiting pitch to much of the state: only two options can contend for a championship and one is worse than the SEC West's worst team. No matter how bad we are, we are your best shot because we lack a ceiling.
