We have more success recruiting Tennessee (state this year's bowl is in) and Georgia (state last year's bowl was in) than you have recruiting Texas right now.

My information came from an Aggie who told me that Slive was going to make sure A&M wouldn't face UT. I think it was the week after the UL Monroe fiasco. I'll give Slive credit - he came thru for you.

So? TExas still pulls more total revenue than any other team in the NCAA and it isnt even close. We have plenty of money, its not a concern for us. You should be more concerned about running away from us and looking like a bunch of pussies in the state of texas. Considering that your fight song has "Goodbye to A&M" and is based off of a response to "Farmer's Fight" I love this comment. The fact that you feel the need to go on an SEC Board to talk about A&M is especially nice.
I know Charlie desperately wants to play A&M in the hope that he can stop the tsunami of a recruiting wave that is going to BCS while he chases 3 Stars he can beat Tech and UH out for but we don't care. We already own Houston. Might as well get some exposure in Memphis.
I do enjoy listening to your AD talk about how he doesn't want to play A&M while your coach is begging to though, it's almost as entertaining as "One True Champion".

Yes, but A&M should be willing to play the sips anytime in a bowl game. To worry that somehow losing the game might mean more for the sips than winning would mean to the Ags is a loser mentality imho.
Lay it on the line and play the game.
I can't believe I'm actually somewhat agreeing with these asshats.

The ONLY thing Texas fans have to cling to is the ever-present hope that eventually we will "go full aggy" and self-implode thereby letting Charlie surge ahead.
The problem is Texas fans miss the biggest benefit for A&M of the entire SEC move- Aggies don't make our decisions anymore! The smartest people in college football, aka the people who won seven fricking national titles, do. That is why Texas is fricked.
If it was just us, we would have ridden 0-59 right into the shitter. But the SEC ran interference for us and instead of dropping off we are still looking at a recruiting class ranked ten spots higher than "trending upward" Texas.
Even better, the SEC matched Texas up with what is a TERRIBLE matchup for them in Arky thereby setting up a VERY easy recruiting win for A&M going forward ("why go to Texas? They got beat by Arkansas, the worst team in our division and a team we beat."). shite, Arky might end Charlie's career with a big enough win.
I wouldn't be giving Slive credit- he properly fricked Texas.
