This thread started out with a reasonable question before turning into a typical Busey/Larry Sellers circle jerk.
It's not all that complicated. "T-shirt sip" is part of the TexAgs shtick. Every message board has them. Do you think I had ever heard "Bammer" or "Sidewalk Alumni" before coming to TigerDroppings? People make the exact same jokes about Alabama fans getting their tshirts at WalMarks over here.
Plenty of older folks in my family got lumped into Notre Dame's "Subway Alumni" without getting their panties in a wad.
I get the impression that some of you sit up for hours smoking weed to come up with new paranoid explanations for some shite you found on TexAgs. It's really not all that serious.
Have to agree the AgTag thing on TA is queer as frick. Plenty of us who post on TexAgs don't have AgTags b/c it's fricking ridiculous to have to submit your real name and address to some little douchebag webfigster for "verification." All that tag bullshite is the brainchild of TexAgs owners who, IMO, have a pretty shitty attitude over all.

I have been a "T-Shirt" USC fan ever since I was old enough to wear one. I attend Southern Illinois and support the Salukis, but I grew up in Southern California and SC was always my team.
There are a few self-aggrandizing individuals that believe "if you aren't an alum you aren't a real Trojan" types, but most of the people that matter at SC don't feel that way at all. One of the most popular and successful boosters of the San Diego Trojan Club was never an alum, and it's a burr under the saddle of the aforementioned "elitists".
Bottom line: You support who you support. This is America. To hell with what anybody else thinks.
