If he wasn't typing the truth that might be amusing, but since he is giving y'all some actual insight and truth to what makes us click, you just come off sounding stupid.

The whole world talks about the SEC, with or without Aggy in the SEC.

The fact that Texans were all wrapped up in their own world says far more about the state of Texas than it does about the SEC.

Whole other country, like I said. Doesn't change the fact that the SEC matters a lot more now in Texas thanks to us joining.

quote:

Though I have a hunch Longhorn fans paid attention to the SEC after their first (and last) run-in with the SEC in the BCS title game.

They have always had a hard on for Bama and Notre Dame.

quote:

The year before LSU/Arkansas pulled in 4.96 million viewers. For a winless Arkansas team. The next year 2 million fewer people tuned to see us play Aggy on the same weekend (albeit at a much shittier time slot).

What does that have to do with anything? I am not comparing Arky and A&M, I am comparing a SEC A&M to a Big 12 one. I am comparing our new floor to a Baylor's ceiling.

I am trying to meet you in the middle here. I am willing to admit that not only have we not surpassed Texas in Texas, but we aren't even close. With that said, I don't understand how the fact that we have improved our lot exposure-wise is up for debate.

Actually I will give White Beans credit. His comment that time is pretty clever. He is right that I am running into the LFF like a retarded kid running into the same brick wall. Mostly though because Brer is immune.

Beans has it in him to have good digs. That is why I hate the run-of-the-mill "We're Texas" facsimile bullshite we get from him when he doesn't apply himself.

I knew when I wrote that guide some LSU lurker on here was going to give me shite. I welcome it.

A&M has definitely increased their exposure, no doubt.

We wanted the eyeballs in Texas and we are happy about gaining some. TV contract alone was worth as we all get paid whether anyone in Texas actually watches or not thanks to cable TV subscriber fees for SEC Network.

I live way outside SEC territory and it is wonderful having just about every game nationally televised on CBS, ESPN or SECN. Other conferences get largely regional coverage on at least one level (thanks to ABC). I've never had to suffer with regional coverage for the top tier games. CBS has locked down the best TV time in the history of ever and the prime time games on ESPN are also a great draw. Other conferences often play either too damn early in the day or too late at night. The SEC completely dominates from 3:30 Eastern on.

Aggy picked that time, not us.

Game will be played at a normal time this year.

You think I don't know what makes Aggy tick? Every post a confessional regardless of length.

Not to mention, a representative sample has already been gathered and forwarded to the (Orange) lab for analysis. My work is done here.

And? You tried to bring that up as if that game and the LSU/arky game were under the same circumstances. They are not even close. The LSU/A&M game would have at least matched what the arky/LSU game did if it was also on the Friday after, on CBS, and had no NFL competion

No, I was pointing out that LSU games that weekend, even against a winless Arkansas team, still pull in loads of viewers.

I had forgotten about the NFL game that night. I'll grant you that argument.

The SEC is uber popular but will never match the NFL on Thanksgiving.

It's kind of sad that Baylor and TCU have the same amount of Big12 titles after this Year alone, than Aggie had in its entirety in that sorry arse league

I mean yall keep crowing how bad the Big 12 sucks? But only won that crappy conference 1 time?
