Good point. We did beat you all of those years. Add BG to that list and assume the same result for your team. If you'd like me to list the last six blow out wins for UF on opening weeks, you'll see two 13-1 seasons and two national titles. Just saying.

Also no UF fan thinks our offense is great by any means, it doesn't need to be. Our defense IS great. Our offense just needs to be average.

DB coach suspended for game

UF thinking their O is great

Who said this?

Our offense looked (eye test and results) leaps and bounds better than it did under our worse version of Dooley. However, who said our O was great at this point?

Your biased undies are showing. Your hypocritical bra is peeking out too.

That's exactly his point, though.

I think people make way too much out of week 1 period. And I'm honestly not saying that just because we gave up a shite ton of yards to BGSU. It's always the case. People thought we were going to be really good in 2012 after the NC State game but we were awful. People thought Bama might go 9-3 or even 8-4 after the sloppy performance against WVU in 2014 and yet they went to the playoffs.

It's all guesswork at this point and you just don't learn all that much from week 1 in my opinion.

I'm content to watch the season play out without getting my hopes up too high. Who knows at this point?

You ignored the point of my post.

Apparently reading comprehension is not a strong suit for Vols fans.

Starting SS - LaDerrell McNeil -Sr.- will be back later in the year.

2nd String SS - Todd Kelly - So - Will be back this week (he came in near the end of the game and after he did they didn't score again) He had tonsil surgery and coaches didn't want to have to play him.

1st string/2nd string CB - Justin Martin - He should be back this week.

3rd String SS - Devaun Swofford - Out for Season

Starting Nickel Back - Rashaun Gaulden - Out for Season

DB Coach - WILLIE

As you can see we were rather depleted.

Don't you fricking take that way from us, too. Muschamp couldn't touch Dooley's levels of incompetence. Could not TOUCH it.

This Tennessee team is going to be good. People that actually watched the game know that.

Some kind of bump violation from May of 2014. Tennessee self-reported but of course it would take the NCAA over a year to make a decision about what to impose.

I'm not convinced it made all that much of a difference on Saturday. Some difference, but not enough to explain our piss poor secondary performance at times.

Offensively, who is arguing that?

Tennessee had good offensive teams even under Dooley.

Defensively y'all have question marks.

Dooley > Muschamp

Are you SERIOUS right now?!?!?!

Derek Dooley went to Double OT against UAB. He managed to lose a game because his team had too many men on the field and then lose a game because the OPPONENT'S team had too many men on the field. He went 1-14 in his last 15 SEC games. He lost a 26-game losing streak to Kentucky when they played a WR at QB and put up a grand total of 10 points.

Muschamp at least went to a Sugar Bowl.

I was excited in 2012 when we beat NC St and you all only beat Bowling Green week one like this.

September 1 Bowling Green* #23 Ben Hill Griffin Stadium • Gainesville, FL ESPN W 27–14 84,704

That totally played out how week one showed right?

You all went to the Sugar Bowl and we went 5-7.

Really only in 2012. In 2011 and 2010 there were flashes, but not enough depth to sustain injuries. When Justin Hunter went down in the Swamp in 2011 that game was donezo.

Defense was fine in 2010 and 2011, sucked in 2012. There are still issues defensively, though I still am not ready to push the panic button yet and proclaim 2015 to be Sunseri Redux. The level of incompetence in 2012 is not to be believed.

Here is a sharp's perspective on the Vols defense:

Sharp #1

This is the first week that this sharp is betting for 2015 and he has had his eye on this game since July. He spoke like an ex-player or coach and pointed out to just how basic the vols played on defense. He said it was borderline disrespectful, and its almost like that is exactly what the coaches wanted to show. A vulnerable defense, and an offense that features a high powered running attack that only passes when necessary. He believes this cannot be any farther from the truth. He broke down that from his eyes the vols ran alot of cover 1 and cover 0. He was excited to see #6 play in the second half because he believes the vols best coverage would have been a cover 2. BG mainly ran when they stuck with cover 2 but many times they rolled out of that defense. He believes they did that to not expose how their middle linebacker would work in the situation seeing that both are very new. Is that a weakness? Maybe. He also mentioned how the vols did not try to go vertical very much. Noting one specific play Dobbs ran for 2 yards when #8 was wide open 17 yards down field on a corner route. All in all, BG offense is that good, but the vols defense is not that bad. He also takes no stock in the good or bad that Oklahoma displayed. The main thing was getting Mayfield reps with receivers in live game action and for the most part he did not disappoint. He also stated the lack of running oklahoma showed was a bit surprising but with young talent and a proven back in #32, he was not concerned. But mentioned play calling will be an issue if that same set makes it way to Neyland. With that being said, he believes that Oklahoma better be able to weather the fury that he believes the vols will start with. He does not think that happens. People love to reference the Alabama game but Bama had nothing to play for that game. A good victory, but how do you tell a team full of multi national championship players that they arent playing in the national championship game because of an other worldly play? Anyways, He believes the vols will start fast and keep a lead. Vols Win 34-27

Our version at least.

Ga Southern
First losing season in eons
No offensive prowess during his time
Vandy streak ended

1-3 against FSU

1-3 against UG
Should have had streak ended to UK but they didn't defend the last pass.
4-0 vs UT
Sugar bowl complete failure

All Tennessee fans should just avoid posting at all in a thread like this. You will never be able to defend yourself adequately in the eyes of Florida and Georgia trolls no matter what you do or say, it is pointless. We won the game by 29, and they act like we lost. Just wait until we play Oklahoma, and whatever the outcome, everyone will be much more accurate in drawing conclusions about how this season could turn out. Feeding all of these trolls is a complete waste of time.

Four people (besides me) replied to this post, all butthurt gator fans. Volsessed

ETA: And NM state is in the same league as UT Martin. Scoring a shite ton against them doesn't mean your offense has returned to being good. You won your first game 65-0 last year....
