Tenn, your matchup with the gatas is favorable for you this year

I've always been intrigued by these kinds of Streaks. But I think that if you guys can't break it this year, you might not get another chance for another 5 years .
Dobbs will be throwing against false DBU. So he's gonna have trouble. But .... That's the only problem I see. This is what I though last year though. So I'll probably be surprised.
17-14 Tenn. I like you guys here. Low scoring because neither team will be able to air it out.

If Florida scores more than 10 points against us. I'll be surprised

Well did beat you guys last year only scoring 10 points..... But yes Tennessee should win this one.

There really is no better year. I was reluctant to forgive Butch after losing to them last year, but I was able to after we finished strong and made/won a bowl. If we lose to them again, there is no excuse. Also it may be a while before I would ever watch another UT-UF game again.

Unfortunate that we were still going to redshirt Dobbs at the time, because I really think he would have made a difference in this game, and the Georgia game for that matter. It made sense to play Worley at the time though. Who knows what would have happened anyway.

Then I'll be surprised if UT scores more than 9.
10 straight and counting.

Yeah, I have Tennessee winning this year. Wouldn't be surprised if it isn't close.

UF Could take 9 random fans from the stands, have them play both ways, and I'd still have them winning this one. Until we beat them again, I can't predict a win, as much as I hate them

A realistic UT fan!

Streaks end eventually and the Vols certainly seem to have the advantage this year. Florida looks like it has a painful rebuild in front of them after the Muschamp Miracle so you'd think they would be ripe for the picking.

My official prediction is 17-10 Vols, because frankly I can't see them scoring much more than that unless we give them defensive TD's or turnovers on our own 5 yard line. Our DL vs their OL is an absolute nightmare matchup for the UF offense. Their defense should be good enough to keep it a slugfest, but this is a game we should definitely win on paper. That said, I have seen us screw the pooch against them too many times to be surprised if we somehow lose again.

Believe this Vol fans.
1995 TN beating Bama to end an 11 year drought all over again.
Sometimes its good to end these streaks on the road and in blowout fashion so the nerves don't creep in.
Vols 34 Gators 13

The new coaching staff a UF know that they can not lose this game. The UF players are confident that they will beat UT and the Swamp will be rocking with fans wanting blood. 11 straight is almost a certainty. Maybe next year! UF 24 - UT 7

We are pretty much at the ceiling of how high you can count...good thing for you, the streak ends this year.

Instead of counting higher I can just use the term, "More than a decade of defeat."

Here's the thing: Last year, UF had about 232 yards of offense, averaged 3.3 YPC on the ground, threw for only 76 yards and had 3 INT, and still managed to beat Tennessee, ON THE ROAD.
It was one of the worst UF performances I had ever seen, until a few weeks later against Missouri.
The reason UF won? The defense. In the past two years combined, UT has only scored 19 offensive points on UF's defense, while putting up a fantastic 3.65 yards per offensive play, and gaining a total of 94 rushing yards on 52 carries, good for 1.8 yards per carry. In that same time UF also forced 9 turnovers.
Tennessee's only offensive TD since Butch got here against UF came in Garbage time in a game UF was winning 31-10 in 2013 (which was one of the worst teams in UF history, and also one of the softer defenses in recent times).
By all accounts, UF's defense will be at least as good, but probably better than the unit that gave up a lot of stupid big plays last year. So, from a match up perspective, UTs offense vs UFs defense is not going to put up a lot of points unless UF has a 2014-Missouri-esque meltdown. Which is certainly possible, of course, but I wouldn't go predicting it or anything.
And it's not like UF hasn't tired to hand UT the games before. UF has lost 6 turnovers to the Vols the last 2 years, 3 of those were in the red zone the last two years, and 1 of them was a defensive TD in 2013. So it's not like UF hasn't tried to give UT the game.
The fact is, UT is not coached particularly well, or at least they haven't been in games against UF, and their offense is totally overmatched against UF's defense.
So I'll say this, the ONLY way I see UT winning the game, (barring a complete meltdown from either team) is if the UT defense utterly dominates the game similar to last year, but this time for 4 quarters instead of 3. And although I think the talent on that side of the ball has certainly improved, and UF's offense isn't exactly the 2007 patriots, with a new set of coaches with an offensive pedigree, I just can't imagine UF's offense being any worse than last year in this match up.
As always, it'll come down to who runs the ball best, and once again, I think UF will have that edge. It'll be close though, similar to the 2005 game.

Not arguing that you all might win because we always find a way to lose. But we will have one of the best d lines in the league while you will have one of the worse o lines. I know our oline isn't much better but with Dobbs, Kamara, and Hurd I see us definitely out rushing you all in this game. Again I'm not talking shite lol cause hell you beat us every year.
