I was like Fred Sanford having heart attacks during that game

It was my understanding they call themselves that. Why would being a farmer be an insult?

I was at '12 Bama ATM game.

JFF, even with all of his faults, is one my favorite college players that didn't play for Bama. Dude could compete with anyone on the field. I went to the '13 game too and was blown away on how he was able to keep ATM in the game. Especially when we were up big.

I was not too upset that we lost due to the fact that I just saw a crazy good game.

I was very happy that ATM beat Auburn last year.

As long as we have a good coach, Bama will always be Bama. But with ATM's rising profile, I think they could easily supplant Auburn's spot in the West.

That win over auburn last year was very impressive, but it became pretty obvious that the #3 ranking was a joke.

More impressive to me is what they did to South Carolina...and wasn't that on the road as well?

Meh... They'll be lucky to get to 6-6 and make a bowl this year.

Why was the victory over Auburn last year that impressive? Them being #3 at the time was obviously irrelevant.

Unfortunately, we've had a history of losing games at home against teams that appeared to be falling apart, often with major uncertainty under center.

Here's a partial list of QBs who've come into Jordan-Hare on unranked teams against a ranked (and often heavily favored) AU squad and walked out with victories:

Matt Wyatt - MSU '97 (Bullies 2nd road win against a ranked SEC team since 1970)

Andrew Zow - Bama '01 (Tide had lost 10 of previous 11 games vs teams above .500)

Reggie Ball - GT '05 (Enough said )

Mitch Mustain - Arky '06 (Best 5* backup punter USC ever had)

Matt Stafford - UGa '06 (Sure, he ended up being great - but Dawgs had lost 4 of previous 5, including Vandy and UK)

Casey Dick - Arky '08 (Enough said, again )

I can't believe nobody has mentioned that we won those games with a redshirt freshmen QB and a true freshmen QB making his first road start.

I am talking about Ole Miss, MSU and Arky fans on here who have taken off their socks to do the math only to realize that A&M HAS TO hug the bottom of the conference for them to have the kind of year they expect, nay deserve, to have.

Doesn't Arkansas have a commanding lead in y'all's rivalry?

When it comes to LSU/A&M the past 4 games are all that matter. When it comes to Arky overall record is all that matters.

Got it.

They kicked arse against A&M Version 1.0, but vs A&M Version 3.0 aka "The SEC Edition" they are winless.

It is pretty awkward for them.

yes.

they'll tell you it's because when they joined the sec they miraculously got really good overnight- boom bam bing. it has nothing to do with the coaching woes we had there for a few years of course.

Do you have statistics related to A&M's record against "good" Arkansas teams?

Auburn fans always love to say Alabama never beats them when they're "good" and I'm wondering if the Arkansas v. Texas A&M rivalry is similar.

Yeah, but the impressiveness of that game was built almost solely on silly preseason rankings.

I believe we show up to play for every game this year.

No QB being carried out of a bar before a big game.

The team didn't have the leadership it needed until Kyle Allen took over.

Here's to a season of great SEC ball!
