Are you the same guy that said A&M will be in for a rude awakening this year?

You must be Nostradamus.

Texas A&M the football program that has done absolutely nothing but somehow thinks they own the SEC

I actually think we will see a slight dip next year before coming back strong in 2014. We will definitely have long term success in this conference.

It isnt about owning the SEC, it's about being better than anyone gave us credit for.

It's gone from "A&M will get crushed in the SEC" to "A&M will get crushed in the SEC once we figure out their offense".

If you can't see how hypocritical that is, then I don't know what to tell you.

A&M has done absolutely nothing this year?

Right....

LSU is going to lose on 2 fronts in the foreseeable future;

1) LSU's recruiting in Texas will drop off
2) Johnny Football will own you guys for the next 3 years.

If by "doing nothing" they mean a potential 11-2, top-5 finish and a Heisman finalist in our first season then I agree, we havent done shite.

There is a distinct possibility that, in our first year, A&M will take home the following SEC hardware:

Coach of the year
Offensive player of the year
Defensive player of the year
High second tier or BCS bowl trophy

Not to mention possibly the Heisman and four first-team all-americans.

I'd say that was a successful first season.

Besides doing something that LSU floundering around on the field could never do (beat Bama in a real game). And we don't think we "own" this SEC. That's next year.

beat them last year in Tuscaloosa in a game that at the time had way more riding on it than your match up with Bama did.

lots of LSU dickriding in this thread

You're gonna sheit the bed in Death Valley as Johnny Football puts up 300pass/100rush on your arse next year in a 34-24 Aggie win.

Again, how does LSU plan to stop Manziel without Montgomery/Mingo/Reid?

Now, imagine this......JFF running the offense instead of running for his life.

Defenses (talking to you LSU) cant afford to sit in and contain then, 'cause Johnny will be picking you apart. You can't afford to rush too hard, 'cause if you accidentally get pushed upfield, you might be leaving 50 yard of green grass behind you and not much help.

You protect against the pass underneath....the running game opens up.

And of course, all the while JFF is still capable of just saying screw it and being Johnny, running like a scalded rabbit for 40 or 50 yards, just when you're feeling good about things. If you ever do, of course.

when the a&m line has broken down on plays this season, Johnnie Football has still made the plays. in fact, some of a&m's biggest plays have came when Johnnie Football was pressured. jff is quick, and fast, with excellent vision. there is no lineman in america that can get a step on him.

..just check Bama game. (that won't be hard...espn is replaying it about ten times a day.)

A&M has had a very successful year.

But........ Your next two statements are very foolish.

1) LSU will have one of their most successful recruiting years in Texas for the 2014 class. Mark that down. LSU only signs 3-4 TX kids each year as it is, and that is not going to end, it's going to get slightly better.

2) Uhhhh No. LSU is already 1-0 on Johnny Football and at worst will be 2-2, and most likely 3-1 by the time Johnny Football graduates.

Texas A&M will do well in this conference. I've always thought that A&M would be a good fit and will have quite a bit of success, but don't get foolish on us here.
