I guess he forgot how WV was taken to the wood shed by SEC teams, much like Big 12 teams usually are.

Move along! Nothing to see here!

TCU will have more success in the Big 12 than Texas A&M will have in the SEC as long as Gary Patterson is their head coach. Due to scholarship limitations, college football has become all about coaching and TCU has one of the best ones in the game today.

At least West Virginia has held their own against out of conference competition unlike Texas A&M who have always struggled mightily against OOC teams.

Care to back that up with some facts?

What OCC are we talking about?

Aggies 67% winning percentage against the MWC.
57% against the Big East

TCU 41% winning percentage against the Big 12(12% drop from Aggies against the Big 12).
57% against the Big East

TCU won't be going undefeated any longer now that they've joined the Big 12(?). If Marty McCrap thinks so, then he's Lohan full of shite.

Oh. And yes, that 15-68-2 record against the Big Ten is quite impressive. 18% winning percentage against them, is very impressive.

9-48-2... against Penn State.

Penn State.

Yep.

A&M football has sucked balls since the beginning of the 1999 season. It is what it is.

You can find a lot of negative stats from that time period. Are Bama's stats in the 2000's pre-Saban all that relevant?

A&M is 5-1 in our last 6 meetings with LSU. Does it matter?

West Virginia going to run into a buzz saw in the Big 12. They won't be winning nearly as many games any longer. Same with TCU. And, to be fair, same with Mizzou and A&M.

Comparing the success of WV in the Big East to Mizzou in the Big 12 is retarded. West Virginia never had to play Oklahoma, Nebraska, Texas, OK State, A&M, etc. Of course you'll be more successful in a weak conference.

Same with TCU. Good luck trying to make that National Championship Game from now on. Better hope the Big 12 desolves and you get bumped down to a weak conference again.

dissing Frank Haith. The AP voted Frank Haith. Whispers are that it's payback, both for leaving and for Pinkel voting Alabama ahead of OSU in the end-of-season poll, when the other bevo coaches voted OSU

Perhaps they just saw Haith for what he is...a middlin' coach with a shady past who stumbled into a perfect situation graciously left for him by Mike Anderson, and they know his team will choke as Missouri always does when the calendar flips to March.

West Va is going to be incredibly up and down in the Big 12 IMO. They have a great home field advantage, a good young coach, and some good skill players - but when they are the ones taking the long arse trip to Texas they are going to have a couple stinker games just from travel fatigue IMO

It sucks traveling from Texas Tech to WVU but its worse when most of your road games out of WVU are long trips

Adding those two to the SEC now makes them MUCH more attractive in Texas and Okie area......don't kid yourself.

Stoops knows this

say a miracle happens in aggieland and a&m goes 8-4 or 9-3... while i would be going absolutely biserk, the shite that will be spewing from the bevo-10 about how the they are the tougher league will make sec fans go ballistic.
until they meet one in a bowl game and get absolutely donkey punched

ETA: You guys can't use this logic to tell us newbies we're going to struggle in the SEC, but then turn around and say TCU & WVU are better programs than Mizzou/A&M because of their high winning %s in far shittier conferences than the Big 12.

That argument only has merit if you believe your premise, which I don't. WVU and TCU are making lateral moves into the Big 8. Misurah and eATMe are taking a HUGE step up. in competition.

You really think the Big 12 is on the same level of difficulty as the Big East and Mountain West?
