I've been to every SEC town. The only one that stood out to me as far nicer than the rest was Athens, GA, and i really liked the layout of Auburn it felt unique. The rest are your typical strip mall fast food towns with nothing yo do but get hammered and watch football. So you guys tryin to hold your college towns over the heads of the rest.....stfu, your town blows infinite bags of dicks.

Like I said, they've all got a decent country club and a short enough drive/flight to the beach. That's all that matters.

Unless you're Malzahn. But there are Waffle Houses everywhere also.

Ole Miss has a unique small campus that feels kind of like the old small north eastern colleges, I enjoyed it. But the town of oxford is average at best. Typical old mississippi town with the traditional square layout.

Well god damn, that seals it. Mullen will be in Starkville forever.

Yeah, but they sure as hell won't pay it for Dan Mullen.

We still talking about the guy who was 0-25 vs ranked teams until this year?

Let's overreact about 1 good run and offer him $10 million a year.

Dan Mullen will be higher paid at Mississippi State next year than any coach in the history of the University of Florida. Damn near already is.

Exactly. Which is why I say MSU will be able to match any offer...because no one is exactly going to back a Brinks truck into his driveway.

Meh, you are painting with a broad brush all over the place.

The real answer is there are jobs he would leave MSU for but there aren't near as many as there would have been five or 10 years ago.

I would not be shocked if he left for Florida but I also wouldn't be shocked if he stayed either. Florida is no doubt a top-five job but it also comes with top five expectations. Now, if Georgia, South Carolina came open I could see him leaving for one of those. More resources, not too unrealistic expectations and less competition.

We definitely aren't having the level of success in this decade as your Vols.

who said anything about paying him $10 million a year?

he will no doubt get a raise and the standard 1 year extension, but he's not going to get a 7 million dollar raise

And let's not get carried away about that, either. We're talking about the only school, up until the late 1980s, that had never won either an SEC football or basketball championship. So when we're talking about "Florida history"...well, history is a relative term.
