Kentucky fans, is there a chance that Barker starts the '14 opener? And what's up with Reese Phillips? I've heard he looks to have some potential

Man there are some dumb Bama fans on here... Look at Blake's stats... He's completed nearly 70% of all the passes he's thrown and hasn't thrown a pic yet... "Wildly inaccurate" is just someone just stirring and "Arm punts" is just well ignorant... Blake happens to be very accurate and throws it very well on the run.. he can run the rular O with no problem... the threat of him running will give him plenty of time to pass...

At least post the truth and stop making up baseless crap to belittle the young man.

So if you knock off the #1 team in the nation and they finish the season ranked 10th, you really didn't knock off the #1 team in the nation. That's bullshite.

I've seen Sims throw 4 interceptions in a scrimmage when he was asked to throw the ball long. Those stats are based on mop up games where he was not asked to throw for more than 10 to 20 yards.

Well, if they were ranked 10th at the end, they weren't the #1 team in the nation...you serous, Clark?

Teams that were ranked #1 at any point before or during the season most likely will end up in the Top 25 at the end of the season. SC knocked off the #1 ranked Bama team in '10, but Bama didn't finish that year as #1, so they weren't the #1 team that year.

I know this beating ranked teams is odd to MIzz, the last team y'all beat that finished the season ranked in the Top 25, was OU in 2010.

You want to know the truth? The only time he's thrown more than 1 pass in a game was against 3-7 Arkansas (he was 0-3), 0-10 Georgia State, & 1-10 Western Carolina.

Dylan Thompson - only returning QB in the east to beat a ranked team

youre dumb. WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP SAYING THIS. Imo, whether a team beats a ranked team is not based on what their ranking is 5 weeks later. Maty Mauk finished the job AT #7 Georgia, embarrased #7 Florida defense. He did shite the bed vs South Carolina, but it happens. Thompson was worse than any other QB in the league in that game.

Blake Sims will be the Bama starting QB next year if FSU kicks Winston off their team. I don't see Coker transferring if he is named the FSU starting QB. And I don't see Saban handing over the reins to a freshman QB. Bateman is the only QB that I can see Saban giving the job to but that's still an outside shot at best.

If Coker doesn't transfer I agree. Think he is going to though.

If your 2014 hopes hinge on Coker, you're not going to be where you want to be in '14. He's serviceable, but (from talking to some FSU people) the competition wasn't close with him and Jameis and he struggles badly with decision making. Strong armed and decent athelticism, but really puts the ball up for grabs too much when pressured. At least thats what i was told from someone who watched multiple practices.

If Sims is our next QB, then we will be wasting a year with some great receivers. He can't throw.

If Sims is our quarterback, then we'd be wasting a year in general. I'd rather experience growing pains with one of the freshman than have to go through it again in 2015. AJ was a much better quarterback in 2012 than in 2011.

I think it will probably be Del Rio or Bateman.

Is that correct? The last time Mizzou beat a team that finished the season ranked in the Top 25 was 2010, Oklahoma?

Oklahoma was pretty good that year too.

Yeah, I'd much rather have one of them than Sims starting.

I think there's a chance, but the coaching staff has been very high on Phillips this season.

I would be sort of surprised if anyone other than Phillips won the starting job next year. I guess there's a chance that Patrick Towles takes a big step forward, but I think he's well behind Phillips at this point.

Are you serious, Clark? Don't act like South Carolina fans didn't take credit for beating the No. 1 ranked team in 2010.

SC - Dylan Thompson

He'll be the starter just because of experience. I personally think Brendan Nosovitch will be the starter by week 3 or 4. He is mobile/physical like Connor Shaw, he may even have a stronger arm than Thompson.
