I think you mean Jones in place for Norwood. KN is a RS Senior.

Kyle Allen may be the starter for Aggies. Doubt we'll know until late in fall camp.

The Aggies QB cupboard is well stocked.

Being black has nothing to do with it (see Andrew Zow), we don't do the zone read option offense now and won't do it ever

We Do it NOW and have been for a very long time... it's funny how these blind bammers keep saying we won't change our offense for Blake or it's not in Bama's system... All the while Sims is running read option.. he's also shown the ability to run our regular offense too.

Blake Sims is #2 and I can't think of a time in Saban's career where the rising #2 didn't get the job.. especially when there isn't a clear cut #3... the only reason these dumb bammers even keep saying Del Rio is because he was the #3 guy to get reps in the last scrimmage, even tho Saban said it was just his turn to get backup reps...

It's Sims and it's not even close between he and his competition.. it's really only about who's Blake's back up gonna be.

We lose 5 games with Sims at the helm.

Which currently ranked team did he beat?

Thompson beat clemson and michigan, who ended the season ranked in '12.

That is not what you said. You said this.

Mauk led Mizzou to victories against Georgia and Florida who were both in the top 25 at the time.

Vanderbilt:
Patton Robinette, currently a R-Fr, will start #1 in the spring. Johnny McCrary is being redshirted this year, and Elite 11 QB KJ Carta-Samuels (Austin's brother) is a commit.

To be fair, Franklin led that disaster. Mauk only cleaned up fourth quarter.

I really thought we had it made with Franklin out, but Mauk surprised me. Sigh.

We could Win 9 Games with just about anyone at QB next year but Blake will lose 3 games....? LOL The one thing that will definetly happen is Bama will lead the SEC in rushing... Although I believe we will still throw the ball around a good bit.

Blake won't complete them. Watch him this weekend, and prove me wrong.

LOL @ people in here thinking Bama will start a black player at QB.

It has nothing to do with his race and everything to do with his arm punts. He throws many side arm passes and can be wildly inaccurate. He is great at running though. Another thing is the consistency of quarterbacks under Saban. Each quarterback under Saban has started at least two years. It wouldn't make sense for us to experience Sims growing pains for one year only to have to experience the same thing with the next quarterback.

I'll be interested to see KCS, but as well as Patton played and as high as Franklin seems on McCrary, I just don't see him taking the job as a true freshman. If he's good enough to do it, I'm all for it though.

I'm just glad we finally have a legitimate starter and backup finally.

No,.....Alabama does not use the zone read option as the main staple of the offense, it is and has been a pro-set. That said, I like Sims as a runner....When Blake Sims plays quarterback, more times than not the offense stalls and has to punt because HE CAN'T THROW THE BALL DOWNFIELD WITH ANY ACCURACY. Sims is not a quarterback by trade, thus he lacks the necessary skills to lead this team next year. I do not know what games you have been watching, but while it is evident you are on the Blake Sims jock-wagon, you can't comprehend or understand the type of play that is expected at this important position.

Cliff Notes version -- Blake Sims starts at QB next year...we lose....and Saban won't let that happen.

You wouldn't lose 5 games with me at QB and I've never been a QB.
